Had a wonderful experience working with Dr. Hayward, he spent time going over all my questions in an unrushed manner, addressed concerns with genuine care for doing the right thing and provided comfort in what may be a daunting process. I was impressed with his sense of urgency, level of tact and communication and knowledgeable experience. He took the time to personally call when his staff had to reschedule a consult due to an emergency surgery which was completely understandable and very appreciated. Overall a very professional and caring Dr & team.

I'm not sure how he is qualified to be a surgeon! He couldn't even show me my tumor correctly on my MRI! I had to show him where it was. Horrible experience, find a real surgeon instead of seeing this joker!

Some of the other reviews don't even sound like the same doctor as mine. I found Dr. Hayward to be especially compassionate about my circumstances. He was extremely open to my questions and spent what I thought was an unusually long time getting to know me and my condition. I had a rather complicated surgery that was completed without a problem. I wish there were more doctors like Dr. Hayward.

In addition to being an excellent neurosurgeon, Dr. Hayward was knowledgeable and compassionate. He took the time to explain my diagnosis and the possible treatments. As a result, I was very confident to move forward with surgery. While I hope I never need Dr. Hayward's expertise again, I will most certainly recommend him to anyone needing the services of a first rate neurosurgeon.

My doctor referred me to him saying he does all neurosurgery. Well, I get to see him, and he sends me out to see someone else. That neurosurgeon tells me he trained this one! If you're not going to help me, and send me to your old bosses, why bother seeing me at all!? Oh yeah, and I got a nice hefty bill from BOTH of them. Ridiculous!
