In my opinion; he's a real jerk!

I saw Dr. Atwell about a year ago. I went in for dizziness when lying down and sitting up. He immediately had trouble getting a pressure reading in one of my ears, and finally told me I had "no pressure" in one ear. When I asked what this meant, he said I needed additional testing. I returned in the afternoon for a hearing test which indicated I had "hearing loss due to nerve damage in one ear." He even alluded to the fact that a tumor might be the cause of the nerve damage, but due to all his years of experience and the numerous patients he had seen he was fairly certain it was not that. Bottom line is that he hold me to come back in 6 months and have the hearing tests run again. When I asked what I was supposed to do about my dizziness, he told me to take Afrin. Needless to say, I saw too many red flags. I immediately came home, found a reputable doctor in Tulsa with good reviews, and scheduled an appointment for a second opinion. I had "perfect pressure" in my ears, my… hearing was great (had a much more thorough hearing test), and was immediately diagnosed and treated for "Benign Positional Vertigo." My dizziness immediately went away, and I have had no problems since. I would be extremely wary of this doctor, and definitely get a second opinion.

I had first appointment after lunch (1:30) and by 2:00 the doctor was still not there. Saw him in the office at 2:15 but I was still not called. Finally after waiting one hour, and never being called in, I left the office.

This Doctor botched up surgery on my mother and a surgery she didn't need and she kept on complaining she has an infection and he put tubes in her ears and says she don't have any infection. Had he listened to her and did a MRI he would have found a white mass growing inside her head and its been over a year. Its either a tumor or severe infection. Surgery is now scheduled on her head and she is 79yrs old. I would not send anyone to this man. Shame on you Atwell

He did a major 8 hour surgery on my sinuses which made a long day for both of us! No B.S. with this guy. He tells you exactly what's required and follows up vigilantly to fruition. No medical proceedure is fun but when your in real trouble and need help as I did.... Dr. Atwell is the man.

Great surgeon I had uvula, tonsil removal and septum fixed. I was down a week and a half, gave great advice and was gentle while removing packing etc.Living 60 miles away I had 4 visits and that was it. Would recomend for anyone who can't breathe well.

He did a life saving surgery on my head and I could not have had any better care than this wonderful Dr. gave to me. He was very caring and compationat and made me feel very much taken care of. I never even dreded going to the Dr. because I knew he would take care of me and see to it that I was in good health. He is the best Dr. That I have ever had the pleasure of going to. I can't thank him enough for saving my life and seeing me through all that I had to go through. I would and do highly recomend Dr. Atwell to everyone!!
