A great psychiatrist who truly cares about his patients and wonderful staff.

A truly wonderful physician and healer. Incredibly intelligent but never arrogant or rude. I know he really cares about me and my future, and respects my opinion and values my perspective. I consider him not only my doctor but my friend, which is the highest compliment I can give.

Dr. Smith is without a doubt the best psychiatrist I have ever encountered. He is very caring, compassionate, insightful and no less than brilliant in his knowledge of psychopharmacology. To top it all off he has a great sense of humor and is a very natty dresser!

He is my son and I and his step mom are so proud of him. We love you Son. Dad and Ellie

I apologize for the previous review -- Dr. Smith had nothing whatsoever to do with the events at Plymouth BID Hospital. Indeed, he is probably the best psychiatrist in the south coast, and one that isn't afraid to take on the challenging and difficult patients other psychiatrists would run from. He remains deeply dedicated to the people he treats, and is genuinely caring and respectful. We need more physicians like him!

I apologize for the previous review. Dr. Smith had nothing whatsoever to do with the events at BID Plymouth. He remains an exceptionally caring and hardworking physician who is dedicated to his patients, and indeed, is one of the few psychiatrists who routinely accepts the most challenging and difficult patients and yet maintains an outstanding reputation in the community.

Dr. Smith is not qualified to be in a practice. He became personally involved with a patient of his, and eventually a disagreement arose. Dr. Smith became angered and used his authority as a practitioner to attempt having the patient unnecessarily confined in a mental hospital. Luckily, cooler heads prevailed when the patient explained to hospital physicians the situation. The physicians at the hospital sided with the patient, this is highly unusual. The doctors at Beth Israel in Plymouth, MA saved the patient from cruel and unusual punishment at the hands of a disgruntled physician, namely Dr. Smith.
