Dr. Dwight Eugene Thompson

We would like to introduce you to the newest addition to our friendly staff at Farrell Dental. Dwight Thompson, DDS is a native of Illinois, born in LakeCounty in the Waukegan/ North Chicago area. Upon graduating from CarmelCatholicHigh School in Mundelein, Illinois, Dr. Thompson attended MorehouseCollege in Atlanta, Georgia, where he received his Bachelors of Science degree. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, DC. Dr. Thompson has completed additional post-graduate training in general dentistry at VA Hospital- Westside Division in Chicago, Illinois, as well as ColumbiaUniversity in New York City. Dr. Thompson served on staff at ColumbiaUniversity, one of three Ivy League dental schools in the country, as a dental director for a community health center and clinical instructor for the Advanced Education in General Dentistry and Dental Assistant training programs. He has worked in private practice in both New …Jersey and Illinois. As a servant in the healthcare profession, Dr. Thompson has demonstrated his willingness to give back to those in underserved areas by providing dental care to the orphans of the Kibera Kids Center of Nairobi, Kenya in Africa. He also currently volunteers at the St. Basil’s Free Clinic on the south side of Chicago. For over ten years, it has been Dr. Dwight Thompson’s ultimate goal to provide quality dental service with a caring spirit.
