Dr. Dzenan Lulic, MD

I took my mother to him after her PCP retired. I have never seen such an arrogant, disrespectful and unprofessional behavior from a doctor before. Mind you, I have worked in the medical field for over 15 years. My mother is hard of hearing and had a terrible memory. Needless to say, when asking her questions, she had forgotten to mention important details.long story short, I assisted her with answering a couple questions. He gave me look as if I was not to speak until spoke to, followed by snide comments. I then, decided to not help. He was on his own. I could tell that he was getting frustrated with her, but I was not longer going to assist. Not even when he clearly needed it. When he was examining her feet, she pointed out some issues that she was having. He told her she had barnacles. She said “what”? He replied, “don’t you know what barnacles are”. She replied, with a simple yes and a puzzled look in her face. He proceeded to say, “you have barnacles like an old whale”. WHO SAYS… THAT???? OMG! There was much more insulting comments that I don’t care to elaborate on. However, I will say this, he is extremely insulting and rude.

This horrible doctor is in Hemet, Ca. He also raised his voice with me on my first visit. He put me down told me I was trying to commit insurance fraud and that we all have pain we have to deal with it and that he has plantar fasciitis and he still goes to work. All of this on my first visit. I was dumb founded and crying. He is a horrible excuse for a doctor. Stay away so u won’t be treated like your nothing.

This is the worst doctor I've ever had, and I'm 73 so that's saying a lot. I didn't choose this doctor--he filled in for a physician that had left his practice. I can't find any reviews on him anywhere and I'm wondering why that is. He is listed as being a general surgeon in Fresno, California, but he's actually in Hemet and is now saying he is a primary care physician. I am in the process of changing to another family care doctor now because this has been nothing but a nightmare. He doesn't go over lab results or imaging studies and usually has his nose buried in his computer and ends up not answering any of your questions. He has yelled at me several times and one time conducted my entire visit in the hallway of his practice because he was trying to find some paperwork at the same time. If you are proactive and know what you need to ask the doctor, he is not the one for you. He only wants to carry on a one-way discussion and doesn't seem to care about your questions. Even tho my… lab results had been coming back for six months indicating I had chronic kidney disease, stage 3, he never said a word about it. Consequently, I didn't know I had it until I asked him what the eGFR values meant on my copy of the labs. That meant for six months I was eating and drinking all the things I wasn't supposed to when you have this disease. And even then he didn't give me any advice regarding what I needed to do since I now have this diagnosis. I had to find out all about what kind of diet and exercise programs I needed to be on myself. On my very last visit with him he had his nurse give me an EKG because I had been having palpitations and arrhythmias. She then gave the results to Dr. Lulic to review and he walked past my door, said good-bye and was on his way into another exam room. I stopped him and asked what the results of the EKG were and he said "Oh, it looks like you had a stroke." I asked him why he wasn't going to say anything, and he said "Because I didn't want you to be upset." I just wonder how much better my health would be right now if he had I just wonder how much better my health would be right now if he had found the time to discuss my health issues with me during the three years I was his patient.
