Dr. E. Quinn Regan, MD

Dr. Reagan may not be the cause of everything wrong with the medical profession but he is certainly a symptom. He is by far the worst physician I've ever encountered. I consulted with him for my back and leg pain that has been preventing me from sleeping. He never examined me but looked at my xrays and stated that "my symptoms far exceeded my pathology", basically calling me a whimp. Then recommending I "seek treatment at a pot dispensary" and gave me advice on how to purchase a mattress. I'm a 64 year old dentist with extensive experience in patient care and treatment . Avoid this guy.

A waste of time seeing him. Go elsewhere!!

If you need a spine surgeon, Dr.James Mok of U of Chicago is the guy you need. He is conservative and views surgery as a last resort. But the biggest plus is he is able to stop or slow down the adjacent segment process that leads to disability after fusion by performing another surgery to correct the spine curve. My L2 disc was rapidly decreasing as part of the domino effect that idiot Regan set in motion. Dr. Mok revised my fusion and performed curve correction to stop the degeneration of the adjacent discs. It stopped the degeneration of the L2 in its tracks. It has been 4 years and the L2 - which had been rapidly deteriorating - has not progressed. Dr. Mok is the only doctor I will trust with my spine. Too bad I got to him too late, after Quinnie boy disabled me.

Now disabled in my early 40s because of this man. Cut-happy, does fusions on young people with minor herniations without even suggesting conservative treatments first. Doesn’t explain the risks or the fact that fusions will systematically destroy the spine (I.e adjacent segment disease) until the entire spine is fused. My life was ruined by this man. I live with chronic, life-altering pain and will have surgery after surgery for the rest of my life. I am on surgery number 8 and I’m only in my 40s. I have to hope that I won’t live too long because my spine is going to be completely fused and I won’t be able to care for myself. I wish to God I had never allowed this man to touch me. I struggle to care for my children. I was 25, young and way too trusting. Proceed at high risk with this man. You’ve been warned.

Dr. Regan was very nice when I saw him in his office. He seemed logical, knowledgable and has a good sense of humor, which I definitely appreciate. He is very much to the point, which I also appreciated. After I had my spine CT he reviewed it with me, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, he didn't think surgery would help me. So, in summary, he appeared to me to me to be intelligent, a clear communicator, and an honest person. I don't think he would ever suggest surgery or conservative treatment unless he truly believed it would help the patient. He us not just trying to run up a big bill as some I have seen in the past.

Recently visited IBJI in Arlington Heights at the corner of Central & Arthur Rds. It's a beautiful building with a spacious, bright waiting room. My first contact was with Nancy, a very friendly, outgoing person. I came early for my appointment with Dr. Quinn Regan in order to complete the many forms as a first time patient of his. When I completed the forms I returned them to Nancy who then gave me a folder and directed me to Dr. Regan's location. I was greeted by friendly nurses and then taken for Xrays. Everything went smoothly and in a few minutes Dr. Regan introduced himself and got some of my medical history. He was very personable and friendly and I immediately felt at ease. Dr. Regan brought up my Xrays on the screen and pointed out wherein lay my problems and answered my many questions and prescribed a knee brace for my right knee. Overall, my visit went very smoothly and I highly recommend Dr. Quinn Regan and the overall OBJI.

Terrible bedside manner, offers mumbled sidetrack opinions about everything but the issue you are presenting. Cocky and arrogant. Perhaps dealing with patients who appear to be more in the geriatric generation have left him uncaring to aches and pains and unwilling to offer proactive plans for healing, or he has just become complaint and lazy. You would be better off seeking medical advise somewhere else than with this doctor. Check his negative multiple reviews on other sites.

Arrogant, dismissive and a total waste of time. Focused only on operating rather than resolving pain and providing good treatment recommendations. Worst I've experienced.

Been going to him for a little over 2 years now because of back pain and hip problems. He recommended the best treatment for me and with his help I was able to finish my college basketball career with no more pain.

Dr. Regan was friendly, compassionate and easy to communicate with. I had a carpal tunnel release surgery, with excellent results.
