Dr. Earl Excell Lloyd, MD

I've seen Dr. Lloyd since 2013. When issues are easy to resolve, he is compassionate and helpful. However, when there are complicated issues, he takes his frustration out on me. Dr. Lloyd has accused me several times of "faking" conditions despite my records from other providers indicating that I had been treated. Dr. Lloyd confronted me about this in an non-private office in front of the staff and other non-personnel without my consent. He was condescending and rude. He implied that I was only seeking treatment so I could receive documentation for disability. I left his office in tears. Doctors are supposed to be helpful and explain necessary steps to receive treatment. Instead, Dr. Lloyd acted like I was an inconvenience. He has also shared my medical information with other patients, who have told me.

He is personable and down to earth and I will give him that. He knows nothing about Multiple Sclerosis and today told me that memory/cognition was not a symptom of ms...he even argued when I told him that it was one of the most common symptoms of ms. he might be ok if you don't have health issues but if have any kind of issues at all you need to stay away from him. He does not like paperwork and avoids and complains about test like "mri's" because he does not like dealing with the insurance companies saying his staff doesn't have 2 weeks to deal with trying to get this stuff approved. He talks about other patients and how he is being sued and rants about the chinese mafia and I bet that I heard him say the "f" cuss word about 20 times in one vistit when ranting. He hates nurse practitioners and very openly an unprofesionally angrily and loudly discussed this with his staff in front of me. I felt like I was in a twilight zone movie today and am still trying to grasp what… happened today so I can begin to try to understand his behavior. He just was so irrational and he seriously needs to mental health checkup.

Dr. Lloyd is an excellent physician! ...spends time with his patients and discusses not only physical problems, but takes the time to understand his patient's character, thoughts, emotional status...general well-being. Waiting in his office is not a problem, because I know he will spend as much time with me, as with all his patients. He is kind and caring, as well as smart and wise.
