Dr. Ebru Kadriye Gultekin, MD

Dr. Gultekin is just wonderful! She's calm, considerate, and just all out sweet with the kids. It's easy to talk to her and ask questions. She's also responded well to follow up questions via phone after the visit. The office staff, however, sours the good experience with the doc. Right when you walk in the door, you're given aggressive pre-pay terms when you're signing in...half the time not accurate based on your insurance. And if you question that, you're not allowed back to the waiting room until they consult with the billing manager and you've made the payment they see fit. When you're trying to placate a sick kid, it's just not optimal to have to deal with this as well, right in the door. Once you get past the front desk, though, it's all top notch. If you don't have a flat rate copay insurance plan where you know what your billing portion should be, I recommend calling before your visit to get that all ironed out so the amount is agreed on and so you can have your… payment ready when you get there. FYI: They will NOT see you if you don't pay.

We LOVE Dr. Gultekin. She's sweet, kind and just super with the kids. She never seems to be in a rush to get to the next patient, and gives you and your child a chance to talk through everything. We also feel like her examinations are thorough, and her medical assessments are on target. With River Hills Pediatrics in general, it's easy to get an appointment. We also really appreciate the Saturday morning availability. Only critique: The office staff can be abrupt and cursory on busy days and/or at the end of the business day.
