Dr. Eden Hope Honig, DO

I thought she was one to trust but she is only in it for the money. She over medicated me and misdiagnosed me for many years. I lost my job and was not able to pay $200 for a visit and she would not see me and refill my medications. You would think as a curtesy for coming to her for years she would at least prescribe my medication for that month but she refused. It was not till recently I found out the dose of one medication I had been taking is unheard of and very unsafe. I thought she was one to trust but beware she is not

I was first diagnosed with major depressive disorder in college by a psychitrist I found through my insurance who spent ten minutes with me at our first and only appt before rushing me out the door, script in hand. Over the course of the following year, I was bounced from doctor to doctor... one who pushed 7 different meds on me after our first visit, one who took me off all of those meds cold turkey despite my being on them for 6 months as prescibed, and 4 others who seemed not to know the meaning of bedside manner. I had all but given up on psychiatry when I was referred to Dr. Honig. Dr. Honig was a Godsend. My first appt was 2 hours. She was kind, non-judgemental, thorough, and attentive. For the first time, I left the doctor's office feeling relieved.... FINALLY, someone had HEARD me, understood what I was going through and knew how to help. I have been seeing Dr. Honig monthly religiously ever since. Over the years, she has helped me through many ups and downs, and… I swear by her advice and judgement. She is extremely knowledgable in her field, and if I ever have a question she isnt sure how to answer, she always researches and gets back to me right away.... dr.honig always returns my calls promptly and is ever willing to work with me and be flexible when it comes to scheduling/changing appointments. She has earned my trust and confidence, which, after my previous experiences with psychiatrists, was not easy. Bottom line: I cannot recommend Dr Honig enough.... she is, in my opinion, the best at what she does.
