Dr. Edgar Daniel Ramirez-Pagan, MD

A preeminent hack who's one of those guys that give "pain doctors" their bad reputation. I worked in his office for a short time. Among other 'end-arounds', the "nurse" who was charged with helping patients wake-up and recover from general anesthesia prior to certifying them as suitable for discharge, was not--in fact--a nurse at all! She was a volunteer high schooler providing time as a community service/career exploration student! Once a criminal, always a criminal. Skip.

This is the third time in the past year that my call has been handled in an unprofessional manner. I guess maybe there might be a time and a place to hang up on a patient, but it wasn’t the time or place. I’m beginning to think that the front office staff only knows how to hang up if they get a tough question or a situation they don’t want to handle. Maybe the patient will go away and not call back. I don’t know what they are thinking, but it’s sad. That said - Dr. Ramirez is an incredible doctor deserving of 5 stars, and that is the reason that I continue to deal with the front office. The nursing staff is also wonderful once you get to them.

Dr. Ramirez and his staff are medical experts and Dr. Ramirez qualifications are the best in his field... Dr. Ramirez performs medical procedures in the operating room as well as follow up and monitoring... After suffering for many years, Dr. Ramirez, at my very first visit cut my medications to just a fraction of what I had been taking. Now with medical procedures, I live almost completely pain free without harsh narcotics... There is no better pain management expert as Dr. Ramirez... You will not be disappointed...

Dr. Ramirez is highly knowledgeable about pain management and how to best treat patients. I had a procedure which left me in a ton of pain and Dr. Ramirez fit me right into his procedural schedule to eliminate the pain. He is also a very personable Dr. who you can genuinely talk to (and have a good laugh with once in a while). He takes his job extremely seriously but at the same time he knows his patients very well, their health issues and personalities. He is not a one patient fits all kind of Doctor. He will give a treatment plan based on your injuries, health issues and takes the time to listen to what you will and will not accept for treatment, especially when it comes to medication. I moved to a new city and miss Dr. Ramirez and his staff immensely. From the receptionists, to the nursing staff to the assistants they are all incredible.

On 2 separate visits, Dr Ramirez's staff made us wait for over 1 hour even though we were on time. This was not due to a crowded office, but rather the staff's decision to go by whoever signed in first, instead of the appointment times. Both times I noticed on the sign-in sheet that someone else had signed in earlier by a few minutes, but listed their appointment time as after our appointment time. Both times we were on time for the appointment time, but the other person was seen first. I would not recommend Dr Ramirez due his staff's inconsiderateness in processing appointments. Dr Ramirez was made aware of the first instance, but on a subsequent visit, the same thing happened again. We left without seeing Dr Ramirez on this last visit after waiting for more than 1 hour, with no one else in the office.

Been seeing for years . He is a very loving and carrying persona. The personal are very nice always. Everything is done for me work. I have No complaint. Mayra Jackson.

THE GOOD COMMENTS R ALL TRUE! Dr.R tried keeping me from having to FUSE L5-S1 @ 36 ya old. Dr. R’s care for me was genuine & he was concerned on MANY LEVELS! Doc warned me about the inevitable ending that would come w/prolonged use of opioids, he would lay into me & say he didn’t want to see me destroy my life with 2 baby girls & a son to come. It was a long hard road, but I made it..thanks to God, my loving wife of 18 years, my kids and Good Docs who happen to be even better people like Dr R!

He listens to his patient and will work an overall strategy to have the most positive outcome. This may be thru medication's or procedures. He has compassion for his patients which is so very important in this field.

Staff is warm, friendly and kind. As an RN, I appreciate the challenges of a balancing a busy practice, and with the individual needs of the patient, and my experience is that they do a wonderful job of spending the time necessary so that I my concerns are heard and well-managed.

He has enabled me to cary on a normal life with greatly reduced pain.
