Dr. Edgardo A Hernandez Pons, MD

Dr. Hernandez-Pons was my doctor for over 8 years (not sure on time). He is the BEST doctor that I have ever had. I will miss him since he is no longer with Health First Ins.

5 Stars for the doctor, 1Star for his office manager and staff. Staff is rude and domineering. Today the office manager, who refused to give her name, claimed to be the owner. Documents filed with the state list Dr. Edgardo A Hernandez Pons, MD as president and owner. Recommend finding another doctor. I am.

My father, a patient, got a high reading on his home blood pressure machine and asked to get his blood pressure read to check the accuracy of his device. Office refused and directed him to the emergency room. This resulted in an unnecessary visit to ER. On another occasion, doctor refused to call in a prescription refill while my father was out of state. Beyond that, refused to even explain reasoning, and left several messages unanswered as the clock ticked. My father was put at immediate health risk without this medication, and the doctor was made aware. Ended up in emergency room to try and get a prescription refill. Patient care takes a backseat to the paranoia of this physician.

I have seen Dr. Pons for about 4 years. now. In my opinion, He is the Best primary care physician in the state of Florida. Despite my various medical problems and history he has treated me with respect and has help improve the quality of my life 100 fold. I will be follow him to his new location because he is the My Dr. who cares and helps. I would give him more stars if the review had them. So, 5+ stars for Dr. Pons from this patient of 4 years.

I recently moved to Miami and WISH Dr. Hernandez would move here also. BEST DOCTOR I have ever gone to-----------and I've seen a lot of them. He listens and understands and takes good care of his patients----even the ones that are hard to treat. :)

Has been our DR. for three years and I would have no other. I'm very confident in his doctoring.
