Dr. Edgardo M Rodriguez, MD

Please if you value your life or family life. Please ask for a different Dr. Our interaction with this guy was terrible and terrifying.

Dr Rodriguez did absolutely no examination on my brother to see what the problem was sent him to exray after being told he had no broken bones and was experiencing no feeling in his foot or leg and an extreme pain in his back the smirking Dr Rodriguez sent him anyways as soon as he was done the Dr said no broken bones get him a ride home no labwork no nothing this man has no business being a doctor. My brother was later admitted to ormc and was found to have severe inflammation in the lumbar area of his back and is being treated by a group that cared enough to examine the problem. My brother went to FL hospital for help and Dr Rodriguez sent him home unbelievable

My Father was seen in the ER and was denied proper care by this MD. My Dad was brought to the ER via ambulance due to being non responsive and my Mother noticing his belly was hard. After inserting a catheter and removing retained urine Dr. Edgardo Rodriguez insisted to our Mother that my father be discharged. He said my Fathers unresponsive was" due to urinary retention." As a medical professional myself, this IS NOT a true. He never addressed my Dad's decreased level of consciousness. He refused my Mothers request to speak with her daughters regarding admitting my Father. He said to her several times "I don't have to talk with Family" He told my Mother he was discharging my Father with no Neuro workup. If it wasn't for my sister going down to the hospital at 11 pm and telling Dr. Rodriguez we were transferring him to Orlando Health' ER he would never have been sent to observation. My Dads primary MD saw him in Observation and said, "Of course he needed to be admitted and ordered… Neurology and Urology consult. My fathers care was delayed by this awful MD. My Father certainly was not provided "Exceptional and Compassionate Care" by Florida Hospital. Shame on you Florida Hospital for keeping an MD on your staff that has a history of discharging patients without providing proper care. Just read all his awful reviews on the many healthcare sights. I was speechless when I saw all the reviews of similar incidences like ours.

I have been going to Florida hospital South for over 7 years; I get admitted almost every month for a condition that i am fully aware of and know the symptoms and the medications needed to treat it. I had to go to the E.R. last night due to my infections acting again. Dr. Rodrigues did not bother to look at my chart for previous hx, call my doctros, nor listen to me, the patient, who at this point knows very well what is going on. I contacted my regular physician right away and he asked Dr. Rodriguez to call him so he could explain my situation and go from there. This Dr., in a very disrespectful way, came in my room and stated he was not going to call any other Dr. since he was the one in charge. Unfortunately I had to leave the hospital without any treatment even though I am extremely sick. This doctor does not have what it takes to be a doctor. Yes, he might have gone to medical school and have 20+ years of experience but he lacks the most important thing, relationship with… the patient and listening skills.

Words cannot describe the nightmare with this individual, refuses to speak Spanish to non-English spoken patients, and his english need improvement to be understood, he is not humanistic and has discharge patient who later was taken to other hospital and found to be in urgent medical care, I firmly beleive his license in P.R. needs to be further investigated, Would not recommend anyone to him
