Dr. Edmund Fiksinski, MD

I had to comment about one star review seen below. I grow tired of people with nothing better to do finding time to trash excellent physicians. I know Fiksinski as a colleague in Fargo where I continue to work as an interventional cardiologist. I have seen the results of his work in the cath lab on follow up angiograms. He is an excellent interventional cardiologist. He did extremely difficult cases and on follow up, years later these vessel look perfect. He’s a good one.

Dr Fiksinski is always attentive and validates his ability to treat cardiovascular disease with excellent treatment. He is, above all, a good listener.

Dr. Fiksinski listens. He then fully explains treatment options and ensures that you understand his recommendations. He makes you feel like the only patient in the world. He puts you at ease. I can’t imagine going to any other doctor for cardio concerns.

I've seen dozens and dozens of doctors over the years and I have only said this about a doctor one other time: this man impressed me. I left his office thinking "that guy took the time to actually listen to me." It was as nice an experience as I have ever had meeting a new doctor.

I was extremely ill, and still have some major medical issues. Dr. Fiksinski is a wonderful doctor, he is very intelligent, and spends the needed time each appointment with me. He assured me that he would not give up when my care hit a snag, and here I am 3 years later, still here! Great Doctor.

I've seen the doctor several times and he has Always been so gentle, and caring, he takes his time and actually listens. I could not be happier with him. He remembers who you are and what your problem was even when appointments are months apart. Studied the records completely, would be very encouraging for life changes and has a sense of humor. He also took care of my husband and saved his life after the ER sent him home and said he was fine. Dr.Fiksinski went the extra mile ignored all the good test results and found my husbands problem before it was too late.

Dr. Fiksinski is a wonderful caring doctor. I was so impressed and glad that he was able to help me. He and my heart surgeon worked closely to figure out the best outcome for me. He was amazing!

I have submitted a complaint form to the Nebraska Dept. of Health and Human Services. He threw temper tantrums, walked out on me mid appointment, lied about the actual state of my heart condition, did not schedule follow up appoinment even though my heart is still very weak, shouted at me in my face, did not give me my diagnosis and then intimidated me by forcing me to walk backward thouogout the exam room and to sit down. He then left the room again and did not come back. This is a summary of his questionalble behaviors, and even though I am not well, he is not continuing my care. I could not ask questions and could say very little, yet he threw tantrums like a 4 year old. I am afraid of him and afraid of other patients who may be treated the same way. I have no plans to see him again, but if I do, he will know exactly what he has done to by overall well-being. I intend for him to fully account for his abandonment of care, incompetence and negligence.
