Dr. Edmund Mandel

This doctor has no respect for his patients. Dr. Mandel cancelled two appointments I scheduled for a consultations. I received no prior notice of the second cancellation, So I appeared at his office not knowing that my appointment had been cancelled. Nor was I able to reach his office by telephone reportedly due to high call volume, I received no responses to any of my telephone messages. I asked the receptionist to squeeze me in promptly due to the two cancellations .She refused to accommodate me and only offered me another appointment two week out. If you enjoy being mistreated and abused by a medical profession, Dr. Mandel is your guy. Otherwise, i recommend that you seek medical care elsewhere. I know I will.

I have been a patient of his for over three years now. I have noticed that Dr. Mandel is now incapable of writing a prescription correctly. I have a prescription that needs to be renewed on a regular basis and he always gets it wrong. He confuses things and changes things for no particular reason. His office staff is aware of the issues but cannot intercede. It now takes 3 attempts to correct the RX. I have to constantly remind him of what we are doing and why. Time to look for a new and younger Dr.

I saw doctor he and nurse didn't want to hear what I saying about my insurance company stated they had to call for approval for medication they walked out and said he was finished , Stated they will call insurance and put in prescription with pharmacy it has now been 3 weeks since I saw Doctor no prescription recieved at pharmacy no contact from Doctor will not go there again

MY BOYFRIEND WENT FOR AN MRI FOR HIS ENLARGED PROSTATE. WHEN HE SAW DR. MANDEL IT WAS 2 WEEKS LATER BECAUSE DR. MANDEL WAS ON VACATION. MY BOYFRIEND'S MRI REVEALED HE HAS PROSTATIC LYMPHOMA. HE NEEDED A CAT SCAN ALSO. THE PRESCRIPTION FOR THE CAT SCAN WAS WRONGLY WRITTEN. A SECOND TIME NOT ENOUGH INFORMATION WAS GIVEN FOR THE CAT SCAN PRESCRIPTION SO HIS INSURANCE DECLINED IT. FINALLY, THE CAT SCAN WAS DONE LAST WEEK, AND DR. MANDEL'S OFFICE SAID THEY STILL HADN'T RECEIVED THE RADIOLOGIST'S REPORT FOR THE CAT SCAN. THEY SUPPOSEDLY CALLED THE PLACE WHERE THE CAT SCAN WAS DONE AND THEY WERE TOLD TO READ IT "STAT", OR EXPEDITE THE REPORT. THREE MORE DAYS HAVE PASSED AND DOCTOR MANDEL HASN'T CALLED. THIS IS CANCER WE ARE TALKING ABOUT, NOT JUST AN ENLARGED PROSTATE. AND THE LYMPH NODES ARE PART OF THE LYMPHATIC SYSTEM WHICH TRAVELS THROUGHOUT THE BODY SIMILAR TO THE CIRCULATORY SYSTEM. I AM VERY SCARED AND WHY IS ALL THIS TAKING SO LONG. "SOMETHING IS ROTTEN IN DENMARK".

I was referred to Dr. Mandell by my G.I. Doctor for an evaluation of an above average PSA test. Dr. Mandell examined me and scheduled me for a Prostate Biopsy. This is very important, the Prostate Biopsy that was offered is not done with Local anesthesia the procedure is done with general anesthesia, in other words, they put you to sleep, and before you know it the procedure is over and done with, no pain. His bedside manner is very congenial and he will lessen any anxiety you may be having. I would highly recommend Dr. Mandell to anyone who needs a Urologist.
