Dr. Edred V Shen, MD

I have been a patient of Dr Shen for many years and have the utmost respect for him. Other members of my family go to him also, on my recommendation. He communicates promptly when test results come back, responds to emergency calls during off hours. His medical judgements are sound. We are happy to have a physician with his own practice instead of having to go to a large group of doctors.

I have been a patient of Dr Shen’s for 10 years. I work in health care and he was recommended by colleagues at the local hospital were I am employed. I respect that he doesn’t write prescriptions just to satisfy the “need to have something done”. He also recommends dietary and exercise changes that I need to make in addition to a script - if it is needed. He has always been available to answer a question or a request when I needed him last-minute or after hours. I have always received excellent care from Dr. Shen.

If this is "Dr." Edged V. Shen of Scotch Plains NJ he has misdiagnosed cancer for anxiety for months, for multiple patients or he will sue for slander. Criminal charges should be an option rather than the illusion of financial restitution.

So weird this doctor, he don’t listen, he gave me not good information at all, I have vertigo and ears pain and he only asked questions but every time I wanna talk he shut me up and never told me what to do with my problem, no advice, no medication and no exercises to do ?? He told me about eating fruits , he treats people like garbage. I think personally that he’s really not well and I’m not going there ever again

Beware of this doctor! I only went here because this was the only doctor near by that took this obama insurance. I have no idea how this doctor has his license! I had to tell this doctor what prescription to give me! ( I worked in a pharamacy for 5 years so I know a little bit about drugs ) This doctor even fought with me about females not getting a yeast infection from antibiotics! How does a doctor not know a simple fact that taking antibiotics can cause a female to get a yeast infection! I wouldn't trust this doctor at all!

First, of all there were not one patient, in his office. I said, this is strange. Then , instead of a receptionsist to take my insurance he was also running of the copying of my insurance, that was the second thing that was strange I thought. So, I just waited 5 min. to go in for my apt. cause two people were coming out of the of the examination room that was the third strangest thing. The girl that took my weight and blood pressure , she was very nice to me. and within 2 minutes, this is the fourth strangest thing, Dr. Shen walked in!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!! Watch out, I didn't know what to do! Sit there or run out! And I did do that I did run OUT! And you would be smart, if you do too!! Do not let this Doctor, Get away with his Belligerent terrible hospitacable ways of talking to you. When, he snapped- Thats the way he talks to you, I said to him "Are you on drugs or something" He didn't answer me. He was constanley asking me why I was there. He was still being… belligerent towards me. I said this is my last visit, It was my first visit and my last.... let me tell you something there is something terribly wrong with this individual. he needs help, and a slow down pill and a chill pill along with that too. I know I didn't do anything wrong but to run out of his office. Believe, me I think you will tatoo. He has no respect, mannerism, or human being feelings for you I give Dr.Shen no stars for him, and for the staff I feel sorry for them, The Staff is getting abused, I heard what and how he talked to the worker it was horrible and not human

This doctor appears very nice but is capable of gross insensitivity and arrogance. He shouldn't be treating elderly patients as he has a limited understanding of how to communicate with people with hearing impairments and difficulty processing information. He is not open to consulations with other doctors, becomes quickly defensive and generally will not listen to anyone if he thinks he's right.

Dr. Shen was experienced as a hospitalist. His diagnosis along with a discharge instruction were inaccurate. Upon first examination he stated when discharge would be and was not open to consultation with another physician. Our experience was UNACCEPTABLE! He is NOT RECOMMENDED!
