Dr. Eduardo M Bedoya, MD

DR Eduardo is a very good DR, however, his staff lacks the ability to provide service.

Long, extended wait times, a rude staff, and long waits for appointments . Even though my script has not changed in 15 years, I am out of my prescribed eye meds, they will not call more in, until I have another appt. that is over a month out. Go somewhere else.

I was at Dr. Bedoya's office for a follow up exam after the yag procedure on my left eye. They were short of help so the office manager attempted to get a prescription reading with the auto refractor machine. She was not successful and got no reading. Next, an assistant who had been there about a week was assigned to input data into the computer . She had no training in eye care and seemed to know nothing about eye care. Dr. Bedoya had to assist her in inputting information in the computer. I tried to answer her questions and it was obvious she did not understand my answers. Dr. Bedoya did not do a follow up exam as included in my insurance, but held up a black plastic with holes and asked me what was the bottom line I could read. There was no dilation or checking for macular degeneration or retina damage, which was the reason for the procedure in the first place. He told me to go back to the doctor who referred me to him and not come back to his office. This office is always… short of help or has new untrained people and the office manager can't keep a trained staff. She tries to help out in the back, but is rude and unpleasant.

Dr. Bedoya is a professional but sadly his staff is not, they do not know how to book appointments thus waiting times are measured in hours not minutes and when you say anything about the time the office manager will literally become belligerent with you. I don't know about anyone eles but my time is important and I don't want to spend hours waiting in a hot doctors office. So sorry to say , I have to get a new eye care Dr. and they are not hard to find. I know for a fact Dr. Bedoya lost 2 patients today me and the lady sitting next to me she walked out in a huff . Dr. Bedoya himself is amazing. His front desk staff had apparently decided that they need to specialize to the point that they aren't capable of opening a box; my new glasses remained in a box until I do t know when. The optician keeps whatever hours she pleases and makes no apologies for leaving customers waiting. Despite the excellence of care through Dr. Bedoya himself, when I'm in need of actual service/scheduling (waited over an hour both times with an appointment scheduled months in advance) I can't rely on those in his employ to live up to the same standard of excellence he provides, so sadly I will be finding another provider.
