Dr. Eduardo Rafael Lorenzana

I have had another periodontist place a dental implant. I experienced a tremendous amount of pain when he gave me an oral injection and had no patient sensitively. Dr. Lorenzana was the opposite. The implant procedure was free of pain, drainage and no pain meds required afterwards. I recommend Dr.Lorenzana because he puts you at ease with his friendliness and has an excellent assistant.

Showing up, the clerks answering the phone were speaking very badly about the patients they were calling on the phone. I should have known better. If the people at the front desk were gossiping about patients then why would they care to help me? I was moved into a room and the assistant asked me a questionnaire. I informed her I had already had xrays done. She was immediately trying to take more. I ask her to try to contact my dentist. Meanwhile Lorenzana came in to talk to me. I explained I was seeking a price quote for an implant. I would like to work within my budget but needed help with my dental work. He looked surprised and asked me see which tooth and he became to count to the assistant the number of my teeth. As she finished writing things down, he looked at the gun and said it was healing nicely, and really encouraged me to have a cat scan done right now. He said it would cost about 250 dollars for one tooth. He said the insurance doesn’t cover that. I thought about why I… needed this. He cane back later and asked me why I did not have the cat scan. I asked him if this would be the only time he would be doing a cat scan of my mouth because I had another back molar that needed to be pulled. He said no, each tooth costs 250 for the cat scan. He charges individually. Then he stated he would need another cat scan in 2 monHe then gave me a quote of 2400-4,800 for an implant. I asked him if he took my insurance. He said the lady’s at the front do that. I was moved to another room. I waited for 25 minutes. I finally had to leave to pick up my children. I informed her I would have to come back another day. As I had to get my kids. The receptionist asked for over 100 for the dental appointment. I asked if this could be covered by my insurance. She was extremely rude. And said no you went to too many dentists appointments and your insurance won’t pay. I asked for a price quote with my insurance via email. she never emailed me the prices. My overall experience was so horrible. I have never been made to feel that way. I thought dentists were supposed to help their patients not this. It felt like their priority is to make the most money out of you. You can tell when someone in that profession really cares about their patients and wants to do what’s best. Charging and charging the patient for unnecessary scans and exposing me to high amount of radiation is not just wrong but it’s also called fraud. Conducting diagnostic exams several times is inflating the bill. I would not be surprised if his practice gets audited. Their intentions are not good. To protect yourself, I would advise you to not come to this location.

Dr. Lorenzana is an exceptional doctor. When you meet him you are blown away by how knowledgable he is and any nervousness you have quickly disappears with his friendly, understanding and caring personality. I suffer from panic attacks with dental procedures and Dr. Lorenzana has done bone grafts, gum grafts, and dental implants on me, with and without sedation. I cannot speak highly enough of him and his staff. Everyone there is highly professional, gentle, caring, knowledgable and efficient. His office is a beautiful, relaxing setting. I've always been treated within the time frame I was given. After every procedure I have taken Tylenol once, then waited for the pain with a bottle of pain killers, but it never came. The swelling has been minimal. If I ever need any of these procedures again, I would not let anyone but him work on the beautiful smile he has put on my face.
