He is rude and unprofessional asks questions that are unrelated to the reason you go there and refuses to let you defend wrong information or answer questions unless you say what he expects His office staff are combative and unprofessional and they have a dog in the office

I didn’t have a primary care physician, so I called my insurance and asked them who to see about sleeplessness. They gave me a list of Psychiatrist. Sanchez was about tenth on the list. The other doctors couldn’t see me for months. Sanchez office said they could see me next week. That’s how I got there. I sat down with this doctor and in the first five minutes he had three prescriptions written out and said he was trying to treat the underlying issue of my sleeplessness. So I took him at his word. The medicine he gave me completely changed my personality. Who I was. It caused major issues with my family. I disconnected and disengaged I acted in ways I have never acted before. Severe change of behavior and very bad physical side effects I brought it up to him and he said it will go away. It didn’t. So he changed the medicine and prescribed me another type of medicine. Along with some of the the others. Same physical and mental side effects. So he said I’m bipolar because the medicine… he was prescribing was causing to many problems with me. His words and I’m paraphrasing. You are not bipolar you just may have a little bit of bipolar. Because to him side effects of SSRIs means you are bipolar. And that is true people that have problems on that medicine can sometimes be bipolar. But I would guess so do the people that don’t need it. So he put me on bipolar medication complete with lithium. All because I needed help with sleeping. Then even more problems. Complete fog and zombie like. Didn’t take care for myself anymore. Couldn’t concentrate at work and unintentionally left the family duties up to my wife. I was told it would be worse without the medicine. In my opinion he should have told me to take melatonin and hit the gym. Because after the long road he set me on and the horrible withdraws from the SSRI that is really all I needed. And that is what I have done. I’m fine. He does not listen and is careless with his prescription pad. It is dangerous not to speak up for your self. I had no idea how powerful those drugs were so I didn’t do my own research. It wasn’t until he started just throwing medicine at me that my wife and I started thinking something was wrong. But by then the damage had been done. My wife and I did not understand what was going on with me and are nearly at our end. My hair started falling out and also the thing that gets me the most is I went to get help with sleeping and the first thing that he prescribed me, one of the most common side effects is sleeplessness. I really didn’t need that medicine and I asked over and over if this is necessary. I made a formal complaint with my insurance, because they were the ones that sent me there. I also considered a complaint with the board of health. But decided against it. I assume he did what those guys are trained to do. But in my opinion he did not listen to my concerns or provide his patient with sound advice. If I’m trying to pick an Ice cream flavor concerns and advice are not even on my mind. But when your profession can impact every aspect of a persons life. It is time to stop and listen and talk. I stopped going to him and found a primary care physician who has done a wonderful job with the patient he inherited. After seeing how a good doctor works I felt compelled to write this review.

It's starts with the receptionist, who is very rude, demeaning, and impatient. Especially, working for an office helping those that may have emotional struggles in life. The doctors are behind the curtain from this gatekeeper of a receptionist. You can make appts, ask questions, or troubleshoot medication/pharmacy issues without dealing with this person. I have met a few horrible people in my life, but this receptionist is tops for sure. And considering you can't do anything without going through her, you must avoid this place. There are plenty of better doctors in the area.

If you take time and read any reviews you will notice a trend in awful treatment from the receptionist Carmen. The way she behaves is unethical. She will actually talk over you so you can not speak and say well have a good day and up hang up on you. With many people seeing a psychiatry doctor are ussualy in a trauma or getting out of one. Patients are being vulnerable and seeking help. Patients should never be treated the way Carmen conducts herself. If Dr Sanchez cared he would fire her.

Not many doctors will take the time to sit with you and explain the differences and commonalities between depression and manic episodes and bipolar disorder, but Dr. Sanchez did just that with me. We sat for somewhere up to or likely over an hour. He asked me lots of questions, you can tell he is thorough. I told him about some fears I had about medications. He shared with me personal stories, patient stories, and we chose a low dosage, since I am most comfortable starting there as is he. Soon I will begin the treatment and then I will have blood work done to monitor how my body accepts or reacts. I feel like I am in good hands. I feel like maybe there is some hope for me. I am looking forward to finding a path to peace without pain.

Attempted to set up an appointment. Lady who did that kept blowing me off saying she had to verify my insurance which is through Bank of America. She told me she was too swamped during the day and would not call my insurance during the evening because she would have to speak with someone from India and she didn't trust them enough to even set up an appointment. Days later after she told me she would call me back, I called to find out the status. She told me I would owe a copay of $15 which I informed her wouldn't apply to me due to maxing out my out of pocket due to previous hospital stays and if there was a discrepancy they could send me a bill. She told me they would not accept that and would not schedule me until she re ran my insurance which had already taken almost a week. I told her how ridiculous that was and she told me good luck finding another provider and hung up on me. What a human turd.

Avoid this at ALL COSTS! After four sessions with Dr Sanchez being 25-35 minutes late every time, I jokingly told him next time I'll arrive 25 minutes past my scheduled appointment time and be "on time". He said "You must understand this is a dictatorship". His receptionist Carmen is the rudest liar of a woman I've ever had the displeasure of knowing! She told me she left a detailed message about a medication question I had for Dr Sanchez (never did) and was very short and rude when I called their office to inquire as I hadn't heard anything for a week.

He is an expert and very companionate. I ought to know I have seen him for 6 years and he has done wonders for me. I have a very demanding professional job and would have had insurmountable problems without him. He has me 100% stable and effective. No doubt that Carmen can be a little strict (see reviews) but she keeps the office running smoothly and efficiently for him and also for the patient. She always follows up on everything. She has never missed for me. Also, because he takes difficult patients, Carmen must have an assertive attitude to deal with them. He is not a pill pusher. He carefully evaluates the patient and then prescribes the medication. It is not an exact science. He told me "Each patient responds differently and has different needs. Even for the same condition" He will move the medication around until he gets it right. It can take some time until everything is almost perfect or it can be right the first try. He works both with the family and the… patient. My advice is to work as a team, the patient and someone reliable. My team is me, my wife, and daughter. It has worked. I think the key is to provide him as accurate information as possible. Sit down and discuss it before the appointment then write down what is important.. He will tell you the type of details that he needs to know about the patient such as details of behavior over weeks after he puts someone on medication. Another key is to take notes. He will provide the paitent/counsler information. Write it down so you can refer to it later. He will state things that are very important to monitor and think about. Also, in the beginning and at any time of crisis, schedule follow ups closer than he suggest if you think you need it. He can help you. However, if you condition is very severe he may not have the time to meet with you repeatedly over a short/medium time frame. That does not reflect on his skills but just that you might need a Doctor that can provide a greater number of short term one on one sessions.

If you love someone do not take them here. typical mental health pill pusher with no concern for the outcome. he changed my daughter's medication and when she became suicidal due to a side affect they refused to see her and suggested that I let her get involuntary commited by the community to be housed with homeless and indigents. this is a horrible horrible practice.
