Dr. Edward Leonard Auen, MD

Needs to retire.

Dr Auen is the most thorough physician I have every seen. He is always up to date on new research and he is not hesitant to order tests, as was the case with Kaiser who I had been with prior to Dr. Auen. After 5 years, I am very happy with the decision to change. Dr. Auen has a Phd. as well as being an MD. His office staff is very friendly, and they know who I am. That is a huge difference from my previous experience.

He has no regard for older people. If your in your eighties, he writes you off. He will tell you things like you have lived past your allotted years! Isn't that nice, he offered no help, but hospice for my mom who had a tumor, and convinced us that the tumor would eventually shut everything down, when we wanted more tests done, he said she was too old. Well, we went to UC Davis, and she is being treated and has never been sick and the tumor is shrinking, and they will remove it with a tiny incision. She is doing great!! Auen saw my dad today, he is short of breath and told him that the inhalers are not helping. Auen never examined him and never asked how mom was doing. Dad left his office with a RX for a wheel chair. This guy is something else!!!! If you are getting older don't ask him for any help. It's simply past the time for you to be living!!!

Dr. Auen is a very good doctor...he's very compassionate about helping you in need.

I saw Dr. Auen in May. He is fantastic!! His bed-side manner is terrific compared to most doctors in this town. Dr. Auen has a wide breadth of knowledge, and their staff is very professional. They keep track of everything about you, every little bit of medical detail. The wait is a little long, but it is all worth it!
