Dr. Edward Bongiorno, DO

Dr. Bongiorno Is a kind and gentle person, however he treated me with six antibiotics over a period of approx nine months due to a dry cough that was constant and accompanied with very white foam that resembled whipped cream. He also had ordered testing that went nowhere. He finally referred me to an infectious disease Dr. who looked at past testing (ordered by Dr. B. over the past year) and stated, " The answer is right here in the past testing ordered by Dr B., you have acid reflux that is entering your lungs and doing significant damage". He then prescribed acid reflux medication. When I informed Dr. "B" of the evaluation results, he stated "Oh, I should have thought of that, I don't know why I didn't". I now have been diagnosed with Emphysema (which was not reported to me by Dr B.)and is the consequence of poor physician care. I then stopped seeing him, and began seeing his coworker Tracey Zollar who continued treating me for constant dry cough (hacking). I was able to view… my test results onmy Bellin site that I could now access. She then ordered more testing, and said she saw nothing that would cause constant hacking, and prescribed a zpack. I ended up in ER with labored breathing. The er dr looked at past testing ordered by both Dr.B. and Tracey Z. said"do you know you have emphyzema"? That was how I became aware!!!

For a year he couldn’t figure out why I had a continuous cough with severe hoarseness and prescribed eight different antibiotics-He also ordered xrays and other tests. After a year he referred me to an infectious disease Dr. who reviewed my records and stated “The diagnosis is right here in prior testing”. “Acid reflux which is coming up so far, then turning the corner and entering your lungs”. “The damage done is not reversible.”

My 2 children and I have been seeing Dr. Bongiorno since my oldest was born 11 years ago. He is excellent with all people of all ages! The best thing is that he actually listens to his patients and doesn't rush you or make you feel like your just another 'number I feel like he truly cares about his patients. Sometimes the wait is a little long but I have also had my own appts go long because he actually took the time to listen to me and address things and wanted to help not just rush me out the door, so if I have to wait a little longer in the waiting room because he is doing that for the next person I am okay with that! I would rather have a doctor who actually cares and makes you feel he actually cares about you.

My son is 20 years old & has been a patient of Dr. Bongiorno since he was 10. My daughter is 9 years old & has been a patient of Dr. Bongiorno since birth. I am pregnant with my 3rd child, & believe this, I would choose no other Pediatrician for my newborn or child than Dr. Edward Bongiorno! He is a Wonderfully Dedicated, Compassionate, Loving, Caring, Physician & Man! Top of his field. Love him & his caring staff!

I've had Dr. Bongiorno as my primary physician for over 10 years and he is excellent to work with.

Very kind and compassionate. Easy to talk to. Very good diagnostician.
