I would seek a second opinion, because his was totally off base and would have made me a life long patient of his whenever the diagnosis of crohn's disease was totally inaccurate. Later diagnosed as e-coli with no further follow up required. 29 years has passed with no complications or any symptoms of crohn's disease. Second opinion was obtained within 1 week of his diagnosis after family members rescued me from his attempt to lower my immune system therefore subjecting me to further disease and lifetime medical care because of the medication prescribed.

Two years ago, i went to the ER very ill . i had a blockage of the common bile duct . In a strange twist , my liver enzymes went thru the roof after my ERCP . Dr Bruns knew right away i had AutoImmune Hepatitis , i find him to be extreamly knowledgeable and professional . And i have been a nurse for 15 plus years .

I don't know what kind of doctor he use to be 30 years ago but he has severly declined in ability. Ranging from diagnosing to treatment. His own health problems endangers other patients. It is pure arrogance on his part to pretend to properly diagnose and treat patients. In short, if you are looking for quality healthcare don't stop with this person just keep searching!

I went to him on a referral for gallbladder disease. He performed an ERCG and "was a little too aggressive in probing the pancreatic duct." (His words) I was hospitalized for 10 days with acute pancreatitis and was ill for 6 months afterward. He did not bill me (fortunately) but I do not recommend him to anyone! There are two other people I work with who have had the same experience.
