Edward J. Camacho – DDS
Dr. Edward J Camacho, DDS is a native of San Antonio and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1972. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas in 1975 graduating Cum Laude in only three and half years. He then received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The University of Texas Health Science Center right here in San Antonio in 1980. He spent the first year and a half of his career caring for children as the Director of the Dental Clinic at Inman Christian Center. He has been in private practice since 1981. Dr. Camacho has extended training in cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics, computerized dentistry, endodontics, and laser dentistry. He has been helping patients achieve beautiful smiles through full mouth reconstruction, veneers and Invisalign for over 30 years. His meticulous attention to detail, a keen aesthetic eye and his experience are what makes him one of San Antonio’s most sought after premier cosmetic …dentists.
Dr. Camacho has been married for 12 years to his wife June who is also in the dental field. He and his wife are contributors to numerous organizations that support anti-drug education, human rights and literacy programs. They also support Smile Train, an organization that travels to foreign countries and repairs cleft lips and palates and trains the local doctors on how to do the surgery and The Fistula Foundation, a charity that is close to his wife’s heart.
They are both avid Spurs fans and Dr. Camacho has been a season ticket holder for over 25 years and saw the Spurs play their first game in the NBA. He enjoys scuba diving and has been diving with sharks in the Bahama’s, ship wrecks in the Cayman’s and most of the reefs in and around Cozumel. They also enjoy silly movies, concerts and music by Chris Isaak, Harry Connick Jr. and The King himself (Elvis that is!). Dr. Camacho enjoys sporting his Elvis sunglasses and channeling his inner Elvis at an occasional karaoke! She also helps to rehabilitate inmates by supervising them through correspondence courses such as The Way To Happiness and publishing articles on her blog that help others achieve a healthier and greener lifestyle.
