Dr. Edward Michael Condon, MD

Dr. Condon ??. He belittled me and my insurance Co. to my face in the presence of a nurse practitioner, humiliating! Dr Condon suggested I get a better insurance Co….he has no filter, no bedside manners, lacks compassion , no empathy & rude. That was my experience and the last time I walked into his office. I’m very happy with Fidelis and have the best drs at stony brook (500 building, Commack), including the endocrinologist!

As a patient of Edward M. Condon I was not able to talk to the doctor himself and after my appointment when I called to have prescriptions put in for me (insulin and glucose sensors) I was put through to voicemail and did not get a call back for three days. As an experiment try calling this office right now, you will not be able to talk to a person directly. Instead you will be put through to a voicemail. This practice is not run in way for you to get adequate care.

I came to see Dr. Condon because my hormones always felt out of wack. During my 1st visit, my appt was at 4:30 I was told by the nurse that the doctor leaves for the day at 4:00. Nobody told me that when I was scheduling the appt so I never even saw him. 2nd appointment I receive my bloodwork results back & they show that my prolactin levels are VERY out of range. Concerned, I ask the doctor if he will prescribe an MRI as that is the next obvious step supposedly when receiving results like that. My sister, politely told the doctor our family history of cancer &stated that this is concern for us. He responded with “I’m NOT HERE TO EASE YOUR ANXIETY” &persisted to belittle my sister asking her is she was doctor. He wanted to run bloodwork 3 MORE TIMES. The second bloodwork came back even worse. I found a doctor who told me he was trying to milk my insurance for as long as he could rather than take the appropriate steps to take care of his patient. I had an MRI done immediately by this… doctor & found a growth in my brain. Dr Condon mailed me an Mri script in an envelope with no other context a month later after I canceled all upcoming appointments probably after realizing he wasn’t to get anything else out of me

Dr. Condon didn't physically examine me or order any scans. He just looked at me for 5 minutes and said PCOS or hashimotos. I didn't have either, though my lab stats were concerning. I continued to feel horrible and had a difficult time functioning normally. And though I expressed this many times to the NP, Tanima,she just kept telling me to wait to see Condon again. This went on for a little over a year and I never saw Condon again. ?! I felt so bad that I had not realized how much time had passed, so that's on me...but I should've received better care from the start. I finally found another endo and learned that I had a substernal goiter, growing vertically below my breastbone. It was very large, as my thyroid surgeon put it, the size of a newborn baby. If you are not receiving the proper treatment, then don't delay. Find another endo as thyroid issues should NOT be taken lightly.

I decided not to make a follow-up appointment with Dr. Condon as I found another provider. 1 year has passed. So I receive a letter that says "..Failure to keep your endocrine appointments may result in serious health risks and we may be required to notify your primary care physician and your insurance company for your personal health care..Please call my office within the next five days to schedule your follow-up appointment". I take this as a threat and intimidation.

I was referred to see an Endo by my PCP because I have low testosterone and he recommended that I go back on TRT. I saw one of the PAs, who I think is so nice and knowledgeable. They did blood work and I will be back on TRT in about 10 days. The patients are miserable! The doctors and the staff are genuinely very nice. In this world you get what you put into it! I HIGHLY recommend this practice!

1) You never see Dr Condon. 2) Their office reception is awful. Bitter people who are always in rush and unwilling to help! 3) I moved to a different city. They immediately stopped my medication (daily medication for a chronic disease) even though it was a 6-month refill by default. Worse, they never received my faxes or my new pharmacy calls to transfer the medication. They left me in this stressful and harmful situation with no medication supply and they offered zero help to resolve the issue. They lack humanity and professionalism. STAY AWAY!!!

I'm a physician and have sent patients to Dr. Condon over the past 2 decades. Went myself to receive the excellent care my patients have received, after a patient told me she had fabulous results after her primary care, cardiologist, and gyn docs didn't help her. I have no hesitancy recommending this doctor. I have seen him do wonders in patients, many who have mostly seen his NPs. They know more about these conditions than any other physician, except other endocrinologists. The visits may seem routine, but the expertise at this office is unmatched.

My daughter went to see the doctor 3 times and each time was treated by an assistant, not the doctor. I also made an appointment and saw an assistant. I have an appointment in the near future and if I do not get to see the doctor I will be looking for another endocrinologist!

He has a large team of NP’s seeing his patients, and yet he bills insurance companies for an MD rare. I constantly tell the front desk that my case is very complex due largely in part to years of undiagnosed Lyme Disease, and they look at me like I am crazy. I have seen him once in four years of being a patient there. They are not knowledgeable regarding the direct relationship between lyme and thyroid disease, and lyme and adrenal imbalances. I keep telling them I need my T3 replacement and they keep telling me no, and yet my T3 levels are consistently low. I showed them articles about chronic vitamin d deficiencies being directly related to chronic infections; and I also showed them articles about reactivated EBV affecting thyroid levels and adrenal hormones. They don't want to hear any of it. They do not make time to listen to you, and are always rushing you out of the office. I hate this office with a passion and seriously need to find a less corrupt, and more knowledgeable set of… practitioners. If that is even possible.
