Dr. Edward Thomas Downing, MD

Do not see this doctor. He is rude, disrespectful and can't seem to answer a direct question. Sadly, I felt his nursing staff was the same, she was not at all friendly, took me back to see him with out introducing herself to me or to tell me what she was doing. Dr. Downing did not explain my medical condition, he used language I could not understand and I left the office with no more information than when I went it. When I called the staff to see if they had received approval for a medicine they ordered, I was told by the nurse that "they don't have time to make phone calls." I will not be going back, and cannot recommend him.

Dr. Downing reviewed the results of an overnight sleep lab study for my Doc. His report was filled with errors. It appeared as though some of the information presented was from the last person the "form letter" had been filled out for. After two phone calls and five written requests, never even heard a peep from his office. I gave up. Once he was paid, forget about it, he has no interest in his service whatsoever.

The staff is rude, the doctor I rude, the phone system is horrible (service closed for lunch!). I have actually been seeing him for a while but only because am stabilized. If I were in poor health or had a current problem I would definitely find another doctor.

Unexpectedly; I suffered from a rare lung issue that almost took my life. I was intibated and put into an iduced coma for two weeks. When I left the hospital; I was told by a physician that what I had was rare and that I would need to be responsible and be active in finding proper health care. (due to the fact that I had something that most of the drs in the area have never treated.) Still, I was hoping that my first appointment with Dr Downing would prove to be informational and inspiring. Instead it was one of fear and frustration & my last! My questions of how this occured or how long could I expect recovery to take; or could this horrible event reoccur; were met with sarcasism; coldness; and complete disregard for someone who had gone from being a young healthy person to walking with a walker & needing assistance in everyday life. How could a dr have such a HORRIBLE bed side manner? I immediately removed myself from being his patient. However; I'm still searching for a credible… local pulmonologist that will assist me in my journey to good lung health...HELP.

I saw this Dr only once and he was so rude and insensitive I vowed to never go back. His bedside manner is very gruff and basically hes a jerk. After talking with him about how I lost my lung in a car accident his response was indifferent, uncaring and unprofessional.Dont waste your time unless you want a doctor who is rude and insensitive.
