Dr. Edward Rivers Eastman, MD

I fell yesterday and when I woke up I had a bump the size of a lemon on my head. My husband called for an ambulance, and I proceeded to be nauseated several times. They took me to the emergency room at TMH, where I met Dr. Eastman. Very friendly, smiling, concerned, about how the fall happened, and what they would see after my CT-scan. I was concerned about my breath smelling like vomit. My husband came to the emergency room, waiting with me for quite some time to be taken for the scan. Dr. Eastman informed us that I had a concussion, that’s why I was nauseated. He explained to my husband and I of the things we needed to watch for and if I or my husband thought something was not right, to get me back to the emergency room ASAP and specifically ask for him, since he had already seen me. My husband agreed that he was a very nice doctor. Thank you Dr. Eastman.

Visited the ER last night for an extreme flare up of a chronic condition. ER was empty but for some reason, Dr. Eastman was too busy to see me, speak to me or examine me in all the 2 hours I was sitting in a room. Instead, had a PA examine me (A PA who doesn’t know the the difference between an acute and chronic condition....) A nurse then came in to try to give me medication so I could “be on my way”. I explained that I have the same oral medication at home she was trying to give me there at ER & asked if it could be Injected. Couple minutes later, nurse returns with the pills and tells me Dr. Eastman said no. Left there in same condition as walking in.

I have never had a doctor make me feel so immediately at ease and protected. I felt like I was in great hands with a smart, competent and compassionate Dr. (not to mention a great sense of humor)! Thank you Dr. Eastment for your superb treatment last night and great advice!!

My 80+ year-old mother-in-law had broken and dislocated 2 fingers in her nursing home, and the hand swelled to twice normal size. She was sent to hospital emergency and was caringly and most professionally treated by Dr. Eastman, in emergency care. Patient was in a "very agitated" state, but Dr. Eastman eased her (and family's) concerns, gently treated her injury, and took time to explain follow-up procedures. I was most impressed by his caring concern and professional competence.

Had a terrible stomach pain and wanted evalution. Went to Dr. Eastman at Tallahassee Urgent Care. Nervous as to what the diagnosis would be I found Dr. Eastman to be very compassionate, took time to alleviate my fears and "just listen" (that's important to me). We are new to this city and was afraid to get a staff of people with attitude problems. Not here...I was also seen fairly quickly and everyone was curteous and very nice!

I was in the ER with a malfunctioning liver. His overall kindness and caring helped reassure me that all would be well.

This is the most egotistical, incompetent rude and harmful physician I have ever had to interact with. He is mean, just wants to collect his pay check and get you out of his way
