Mr Gelber would steal his mommas wallet and charge her a finders fee for his precious time! A true narcissist and more like a crooked accountant than a Dr. He would spend more time on fulfilling his goal to hoard patients like a crazy cat lady does kittens than to fulfill his oath “to do no harm “ Just because Geoffrey Dahmer carried a human skull Around in a bowling case that didn’t make him a professional bowler anymore than running credit cards willy nilly and dumping drugs on patients makes him a qualified Doctor . They are so close it’s frightening - both Sociopaths. He is truly in the wrong field - all humor aside. As someone whose known the man for over a decade he has the personality of a door knob and the compassion of the ICE MAN . He lacks empathy , he does not even consider his faults but will sit on the back of your neck the first time he catches you slipping - He forgets that the first half of his career was a complete laughing stalk of all the pharmacists , and… other patients that would wait around as he couldn’t write a prescription , use a fax machine , or spell his own name .

Excellent listening skills, thoughtful feed back, and he helped me through the worst trauma of my life. He allows me to lead the conversation but is quick to call in for an emergency. He helped me through my father's suicide and never gets cross. In 4 years I have never heard him raise his voice or become impatient. Highly recommended, especially for people who suffer from any chronic illness, anxiety, and panic attacks. He's always kind and never leaves me hanging when I'm struggling. I will continue to see Dr. Gelber and recommend him to all who seek mental health

Dr. Gelber treated my son with multiple prescriptions of bensoids. He only cared about his fees and his prescription business and was not willing to work with the family so we could help our son recover. We have nothing good to say about him.

Found this doctor to be bizarrely arrogant , and very dismissive about my ideas and thoughts . I was so horrified when he reached across me to open the office door for me and ended up groping me- which he claims is a mistake So creepy

So I'm all for writing good reviews, but this needs to said to anybody who is thinking about having him as your psychiatrist. First off he doesn't take insurance, which sucks. So I end up paying $150 for 15mins of his time just so he can sit back in a very mnotone voice saying that I have server anxiety and that I need a therapy from him. That was the first thing, he doesn't even know me and he's diagnosing me like a mentally ill person. Sec, it was a hassle for me to see him every other month cause he's so about the money, every prescription was tight with no refills, making me after to do another appt just so he can get paid. Aweful. And also I'm all about having quick contact with my psychiatrist and psychologist, and when he charges $75 per phone call just if I have side effects of the med. that's wrong!!!! Guys out for Money and probably only cares if you pay him. 0 stars!!

Question: What do you call the guy who finishes LAST in medical school? .....Answer: Doctor. I guarantee you "Dr." Gelber is writing all of the positive reviews on this site. Do yourself a huge favor and read all the reviews ---especially those which are older. The older ones are true and clearly shows how small his practice is because these true reviews are over 3 years old. Strange all his positive reviews are recent. Yet AGAIN he has moved his office where he "practices psychology " Fourth time in 2 years. Anyone who would even CONSIDER providing therapy via videoconference is a joke. Never heard of this in my life. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Read ALL the reviews. He is the worst of the worst.

Recently abruptly moved practice to Virginia and now only offers Boston patients appointments by video conference.

I feel like Dr. Gelber really cares about me. He is a great listener - he remembers things I've said from one session to the other. He's got a soft-spoken, laid-back style. Would definitely recommend.

Dr. Gelber was very helpful in resolving some mental health issues I had struggled with recently. He is **very**up-to-date on the latest treatmen techniques, and didn't try to pressure me into too frequent appointments. His office is a little bare.

The best doctor I have ever had.
