First and foremost, the surgery went well. Dr. Grendys did not follow up with me after the surgery as he said he would. My husband is the one who told me it was cancer. The next time I saw him was four weeks later, with a five minute visit told it was cancer but no chemo or radiation. He used out dated terminology, didn't do an internal exam, did not follow up with HRT given that I had surgical menopause at 35 and provided no information when I called the office.

Patient Mary presents with stage 1 uterine cancer. She also had stage 2 breast cancer, a small cancer easily removed. She has already gone to two other doctors but did not want scars from hysterectomy. Note that these 2 doctors examined her, noted a fibroid cyst the size of a baby's head and a super large 8mm uterus, plus 3 prior surgeries (abortions). Finally a Dr.Sager did the DandC and also took detailed notes,not from scans, but from direct surgery doing the D&C, also that she had had 3 abortions (surgeries) in the past. All noted. Now, such a person is NOT a candidate for laparoscopic surgery, which would not give her that big scar. So he sends her to Dr. Grendys and he announces that she is a perfect candidate for laparoscopic (did he NOT read the notes from other doctors?) Well, obviously she was not a candidate for it since while on the operating table after doing what he could with laparoscopy he realizes that he can't get the uterus out. So he has to cut her the normal… way to get the uterus out. She was in hospital for 3 days and should have been observed better. One week later she is back in hospital, very sick, Grendys severed her ureter. They can't fix it so she is going about with tubes for drainage until she can be fixed. A severed ureter is not common, not even a nicked ureter is. Meanwhile, the cancer in the breast is still there and months are passing by. FINALLY she gets a urologist to fix the ureter. Next comes the breast surgery but now it is stage 3A advanced AND metastatic. She kept going to the doctor so she can't logically sue, plus her stupid doctor shopping doesn't help if she tried to sue. She now has scars all over, the normal hysterectomy scar which can hardly be seen, another vertical scar from the ureter fixing and quite a big scar on the breast. And again, due to the long stall, the breast cancer is metastatic.

If it were not for Dr. Grendys, I would not be here. Back in 2014, after having multiple strokes, DVT's and PE's due to a very aggressive cancerous tumor on my ovary, I was referred to him. Dr. Grendys came very highly recommended. He carefully explained my options; one of which included a very high-risk surgery (due to my strokes, etc). Long story short, he performed very high risk surgery and saved my life. After surgery and chemotherapy in 2014 5 ½ years later, I remain cancer-free. Thank you Dr. Grendys!

It seems Dr. Gendys thoughts and opinion are the only ones that count. I found him accusatory and toliated the office visits, dispite continuious problems; which caused me not to return.

My hysterectomy went well, but Dr. Grendys did not perform an adequate exam at the follow-up appointment. He quickly viewed only external abdominal stitches and said all was healed and to resume normal activity. I asked about a vaginal exam and he said it was not necessary. I resumed Yoga classes and about a week later, severe bleeding resulted and over $5,000 in emergency room services. A visit with my gynecologist confirmed that the internal stitches were were not healed. If Dr. Grendys had taken the time to do a quick vaginal exam - all of my complications could have been avoided.

I have been refer by another surgeon for joint surgery with this surgeon., I cannot make an appointment because the staff is so incompetent and not interested. Always put through to voicemails and never given a call back. Once i did speak with someone who said they did not receive my referral- and would not schedule an appointment for me. The referring surgeons office assured me they re-contacted with the staff at Dr Grendys' office and resent their referral. I still cannot connect with anyone in the office to schedule an appointment for me- this is holding up my other surgery. At this point- I think all points to me going up north to schedule both surgeries with high level professionals and staffs that w=are used to working at the same level of urgency. I wouldn't rust them with my after care after all of this. As a supervisor myself, i would fire the whole lot of my staff if they worked at this poor level. My money and my insurance monies will best be spent elsewhere.

Dr. Grendys was referred to me after my PCP sent me to do multiple test because of High Blood Pressure that was not being controlled after lots of different doses and mixtures of BP meds. During one of the A.S. they found a large mass near an ovary. I went to see Dr Grendys and he sat me down and explained what was going on and what he would do to me to remove the mass and give me a hysterectomy so I would not have complications down the road. I guess the surgery was l bit more that was expected but he pulled it off and I am here to thank him for it. From the bottom of my heart, I owe you BIG. I would recommend him to anyone.
