Dr Edward Hannoush, MD

Outstanding, highly competent and compassionate surgeon. I had surgery on March 13, 2023 for a hiatal hernia and gastropexy. All my preop visits were handled with professionalism. While in the OR, he gently touched my arm before I went under to assure me, he was taking care of me and not to be afraid. Two more visits after the surgery during my hospitalization to make sure I was doing okay . Was also very kind to the patient in the next bed in my room as he did another type of surgery on her. Smiles, easy to talk to and a nice man. I highly recommend Dr. Hannoush!!

I had a great experience with Dr.Edward Hannoush and his team. Everyone I encountered during my recent hiatal hernia surgery at Hartford Hospital was very professional and very nice to me. Highly Recommend!

I am literally speechless at how Dr Honoush conducted himself at my office visit. He was condescending and arrogant at best. As well as lacking knowledge. He told me that he felt interrogated as I asked him pertinent questions about my pain and the possible causes of it. He told me " he did not know why I had the pain I had " and just left it at that His attitude was hostile and demeaning Instead of admitting that he may not have the knowledge or expertise to answer my questions , he turned it around on me to make me feel I was attacking him. I am still in shock that a patient asking questions about the issue ( yrs of debilitating pain) , could trigger such an emotional response of hostility. I guess if you want smooth sailing with this guy just nod yes and make him feel good about himself But that is not how I want to relate with anyone , especially my choice in a Dr.

Went in thinking had a hernia. Had previously had scan and sonogram. Brought both scans with me for him to read. He told me didn't have hernia, and that the scan only went down to my waist. Double checked that and verified it went down to my thighs. Not sure what he was looking at. Pretty bad, still don't know what I have. Moving on to the next doctor.
