My 83 year old mother and I met with Dr. Healy after an emergency run to the hospital and an overnight stay the day after Thanksgiving. I had to add my comment after seeing some of the reviews. Dr. Healy was so unbelievably kind, compassionate, and caring towards my mother that I had to let others know through this review. It was the first time we met Dr. Healy after a terrifying scare. Dr. Healy spent a great deal of time examining and reassuring my mother and I during his visit that we couldn’t have been more grateful. His bedside manor was friendly and professional as he took the time to answer one question after another during a very stressful situation.

Dr Healy does not know how to communicate. He even put my loop recorder in the wrong place!!

I dealt with Dr. Healy three times--for my first appointment, at which he described the primary device (loop recorder), basically what it did, and details about the surgery and how the device conveyed data. The second time was at the surgery; we may have exchanged ten words that were pertinent to that. The third time concerned an important diagnostic MRI I needed; my insurance company told me that the MRI could not be performed due to my implant. This was important diagnostically, and had I known about this problem, I would have delayed the implant. I left a message to speak to Dr. Healy, and received a call that afternoon. It turned out that there was no problem with getting an MRI, which greatly relieved me. Dr. Healy said he would be glad to send a letter to my other doctors to convey this. I plan to discuss the other items that Medtronics warns will interfere with the loop recorder with Dr. Healy at my next appointment; it seems pretty restrictive to me. I would gladly refer… friends and colleagues to Dr. Healy.

I had a great experience with Dr. Healy. It was my first time going to a cardiologist and a friend recommended him and that practice. Dr. Healy was thorough with my concerns and with the necessary testing I needed. I highly recommend him.

Terrible "bedside manner". Very arrogant with no compassion.

Would not discuss my condition. Prescribed right medication with wrong dose, giving me side effects that made me change medication. Eventually, another cardiologist suggested original medication, which works fine at lower doses. Lousy bedside manner - arrogant and peremptory.
