Dr. Edward Peter Hoffer, MD

My husband and I feel very lucky that we had Dr. Hoffer as our physician for many years before he retired in 2017.

The most unprofessional office assistant I have ever HAD to speak to. I am currently overseas trying to retrieve a copy of my vaccination and immunization history for work and residential status. Apparently, three days to wait (just for a response) is not enough time for her to go "to the basement archives" to look. I am as she so eloquently put it, "Not her top priority". Furthermore, "She does not care where I am calling from". I am 3,445 miles and 6hrs. time difference ahead and was literally hung up on. I asked her when a good time to follow up would be (as I know I am calling from overseas, I would take on the bill no problem). I did not raise my voice to this woman, I did not use ANY form of foul language or disrespect her in any way. Somehow, she feels it is her right to be unprofessional and nasty to folks. I left this practice not because of the doctor, but because of the foul-tempered and disrespectful office assistant assistant, Gretchen Gray. The only word I have for this… woman is EVIL. After putting up w/ her antics for many years I could no linger stomach her treatment. And rather than make a scene, 2 years or more ago now, I simply phoned and asked for my records to be transferred to my new PCP. This note is fair warning to all who attempt to call or work w/ Dr. Edward P. Hoffer. My apology for not writing this sooner.

I recently switched to Dr Hoffer - about 1 year experience with his practice. A friend who has used Dr Hoffer for over 20 years referred me - physical started on time and was comprehensive. I recieved all results in a nice report. I'd recommend him.
