Worst dr of all time

If you need to see Dr. Kaplan for two minutes, that's your doctor. I left my appointment with Dr. Kaplan feeling more frustrated than when I arrived. He seemed rushed, barely made eye contact, and dismissed most of my concerns without real discussion. I expected a urologist to be more thorough and empathetic, but that was not the case. I wouldn't recommend him if you're looking for someone who listens and takes the time to explain things.

Dr. Kaplan saved my daughter's life, and mine. My daughter has suffered from kidney stones since her freshman year in high school. Every year, she has suffered an episode of kidney pain related to stones and the same ineffective protocol occurred. Kidney pained ensued, rush to the ER or Urgent Care, get zapped with tons of radiation to confirm the presence of a stone, and be sent home with pain medicine. We saw a pediatric doctor for a few years that ended up being useless. Several expensive tests were run, no real results were discussed, and we kept getting pushed out for more follow up appointments that never pinpointed the problem or even gave us a treatment plan to follow. After almost 10 years of kidney issues, we found Dr. Kaplan who in less than 3 months diagnosed, treated, and healed my baby girl. I have spent thousands of useless dollars, watched my child suffer, and felt so helpless knowing in my heart something in her kidney was terribly wrong. Dr. Kaplan was smart,… knowledgeable, answered ALL of my questions, and immediately created a plan from the first appointment. When looking for a doctor I focus on their intelligence, brilliance in their field, knowledge and a master of their specialty. Dr. Kaplan acted fast running tests to get a diagnosis and determine a solution. His team set us up for a surgery within no time! I couldn’t believe how many years we went being bounced around from one doctor to the next filling us with “fluff” and countless useless assessments. When it became an emergency situation, Dr. Kaplan was with us every step of the way. Being my only child, I was terrified for her to go under the knife. Dr. Kaplan reassured me and even called us after hours in the hospital to check on her recovery. His knowledge and expertise is remarkable. Not only did he remove her stone, but he gave her a treatment plan to follow for the remainder of her life. That was more than anyone had previously done! Each time we leave his office; there is never a feeling of uncertainty which we’ve experienced in the past. His no-nonsense, direct approach, combined with his astounding expertise in this field makes you feel educated and at ease regarding your diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. He gave her answers that she had longed to have which in essence saved her life. By saving my daughter, my whole world, Dr. Kaplan also saved me.

Highly satisfied. As usual, Dr. Kaplan was friendly, polite and informative.

Treated for a severe bladder infection that dr Kaplan prescribed antibotics that did not help. Got much worse. Did not seem like dr or his staff cared as not much communication with me. Changed to new urologist who prescribed the correct antibotic after culture and doing much better. No confidence that dr kaplan and office were caring about me as a patient. On follow up, I gave 1 star only because it would not allow no stars.

Dr Kaplan made me feel very comfortable, I trust him. I have no cocerns that he is advising what is best for me, not for himself. And most important, he is helping to cure the problem that takes me to his care.

Good bedside manner

Outstanding doctor. Would highly recommend to anyone needing a good urologist.

Dr. Kaplan was very professional caring and thoughtful. He treated me for a problem my last Urologist ignored. I thank him and his staff.

Elderly family member is not a complainer, but had excessive night-time urination. Dr gave samples of a drug for 1 month, then scheduled a follow-up appointment.When doctor was told medicine didn't really help, response was "nothing else we can do"- NOT acceptable! Find a more concerned doctor.Additional note- doctor was over 1 hour late for both appointments & no apology made. Yes, doctors are busy, but patients deserve more respect.We now have a fine urologist!
