Dr. Edward J Kinkopf, DO

Dr. Kinkopf is an exceptional General Practitioner. He's been my GP for many years and I feel fortunate that I found him. He has an efficient office: wait times are short and he never rushes through my appointments. I have a challenging condition that he comes up with new treatment options for. He is also open to ideas that I come up with via my own research. He frequently responds to phoned in questions himself. He is compassionate and really cares about his patients' struggles.

Exam was too superficial to determine cause of a problem I had had for months. Didn't disclose full test results which would ave explained the problem. He is nice enough and spends time with you but more thoroughness is needed to help patients.

I've been a patient since the mid-1980's. The office has changed with the industry and went from good to bad and now back to good with the HMO period being the worse. They routinely submit my prescription to my pharmacist and my pharmacist handles my refills.Over all, I believe I have a good relationship with him. However, you should note that I always try for morning appointments; towards the end of the day they are almost always behind schedule, although I haven't tested that in years.

I found this site when looking up his phone number to call for a sick appointment. it's 8:11. office said he could see me at 10. he's always easy to get into, if not same day. their office does have an after clinic. he's also great at calling me when results come in even if they were ordered by other doctors

Dr Kinkopf has been my family doctor for the past 8 years. He is attentive, engaged, and willing to listen and discuss options. He respects your personal opinions and is very humble, not having an inflated opinion of himself. He stays current & is progressive, but cautious. Office & medical staff are competent and helpful.

After 25 years as a patient, I had to fire Dr. Kinkopf and his staff. The last few years I saw Dr. Kinkopf, it seemed every appointment I made, I was informed of a new patient rule the office had enacted. These include:-The need to pay your copay upon checking in (While this assures they get their copayment, it also keeps one from leaving because of spending too much time waiting)-The need for the patient to wait for their prescription after seeing the doctor (The prescription is written, placed in the chart and given to the front office. The patient waits in the waiting room until they get around to giving it to you. This has taken nearly one hour on a few occassions for me.)-You must pick up a prescription from the office for refills (I went a holiday weekend without medicine because they would not fax an order to the pharmacy. Pharmacist have also told me his office is one of the worst to deal with when they must do business with them.)-Drug reps have precedence over patients ( I… have seen three different drug reps get his staffs full attention while I sat in the waiting room for my already written prescription)I had a great relationship with Dr Kinkopf until the last few years when these changes had been made. His patient load has also increased to a point it seems unmanagable.
