Dr. Edward Harry Kovnar, MD

I would never recommend this doctor. His bedside manor was so poor we don't know if we should believe his diagnosis. He told us that sometimes we hear things and project those symptoms on our children. Totally underminding the 2 other health professionals who told us to see him. (our pediatrition and the radiologist who stated there were some abnormalities on the MRI) We didn't just call and make a random appt with a neurologist. We were refered to go see a neurologist. He told us we he thinks our daughter has anxiety but would not give us any ways to relieve it, just a referal to a behavioral health doc. My daughter is not a sickly kid but has not felt good for about 6 months and it is getting worse. What a waste of time and money. I have to go see another neurologist and spend more money to possibly confirm the same diagnosis but because he was so poor at his presentation I don't trust him.

We have a history with Dr. Kovnar, so my high ratings indicate that he has been consistently excellent. His nurse, likewise, is excellent. Dr. Kovnar respects my child and listens to him. That may say it all.

Exceptional physician! We had scheduled our first visit with him, but hadn't yet had the appointment (so we never met him yet) when my child had an emergency. Dr. Kovnar came to see us in the ER and spent over an hour with us calming our fears and answering our questions (stuff we probably would have discussed at the first appointment). Since then, he and his staff are great to work with! They return calls promptly and collaborate very well with other doctors. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Kovnar; we would highly recommend him!!
