Dr. Lam is awesome, bruh! Went with my wife, and he was solid. Super chill, really listens, and treats you with respect. Explains things so you can actually get it, you know? I recently visited Dr. Lam’s office, and I must say, the care I received was truly exceptional. Dr. Lam’s genuine concern for his patients is evident in every interaction. His honesty and transparency about my health condition were reassuring, fostering a sense of trust. What stood out most was Dr. Lam’s intelligence and expertise. He explained complex medical details in a way that was easy to understand, allowing me to actively participate in my healthcare decisions. The level of attention he provided during the appointment made me feel valued as a patient. Dr. Lam’s commitment to thoroughly listen is commendable. He took the time to understand my concerns and patiently addressed each one. This personalized approach instills confidence in the treatment plan he recommended. My parents and I were patients of Dr Howman Lam for two decades. When the son took over in his retirement and changed the front office, everything immediately turned sour. My parents (non-fluent English speakers) were dismayed after appointments were done, the lady in the front office always demanded $20 from them as a co-payment and was always rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional in doing so. Suspicion arouse when insurance never reported to them about the $20s and matters escalated when the front office sent a bill demanding payment. When my parents tried to settle the matter, the front office just told them "don't come here anymore." I think their advice was ironically the best because given less than a year of Edward Lam's care compared to two decades of the father's, we got to find an honest doctor with professional standards like the father.

So happy to find Dr.Lam, his office staff are great too, so efficient! I've already recommend him to several family and friends and they are happy also!??

My parents are long time patients of Howman Lam's mainly due to his ability to speak Chinese and when he wasn't available they were referred to his son Dr. Edward Lam. With a younger doctor they were hoping for better service and a doctor that would care more about patients. However, the exact opposite occurred. Not only were they over charged 25% for their co-pay but when questioned his wife (office manager) flipped, gave attitude, and made my parents feel bad as if they didn't know what they were talking about. My parents may not speak fluent English but Dr. Lam surely speaks Chinese, and the fact that they've been seeing his dad for decades I'm sure they know how much the co-pay should be. After that horrible experience, they asked friends if they experienced the same thing and it turns out all the non-English speakers are treated this way. They even double checked with Howman Lam's side to see if co-pay went up and to their surprise they said, "No, co-pay amount remained… the same....and I already told the younger Dr. Lam's office to stop overcharging our patients." So, it seems like the main problem is the office manager because I've heard pretty good reviews from other people who are fluent English speakers or people of a certain race. The purpose of this review is not to give Dr. Edward Lam a bad rep, I just wanted to give a voice to the non-English speakers so they can be fairly treated. If you've been seeing Dr. Lam and he's a great doctor to you then that's great. The essence of a true doctor is one that helps the sick regardless of the money, unfortunately, some may forget what being a doctor really means. So sad......

Cr. Lam is not interested in his patients care. He looks for quick in and out appointments and scheduling to fill out insurance billings. His wife is his receptionist and is very much part of the problem.

Dr. Lam provides excellent service. As a patient I feel well taken care of. He takes the time explaining any medical issues in detail and hears my concerns. He has great knowledge, both my husband and I are very pleased with his services.

My first impression of Dr. Edward W.L. Lam and his staff is that they are a "Class Act." His assistant was helpful and pleasant. She showed a lot of patience when accurately answering all my questions regarding their location and the things I needed to do in order to get an appointment to see the doctor. Dr. Lam was very professional in our meeting and explained his diagnosis in words that even a layman like myself could understand. Parking at the doctor's office was validated; I had a pneumonia injection and didn't even feel the needle; etc. Wait time to get my appointment and see the doctor was extremely short. Professional environment one would expect from a doctor's office. After my first visit, I was impressed and would recommend Dr. Lam and his staff to all my senior friends.
