Dr. Leahey is the best Dr. He has helped me a lot and saved my life. Thank you Dr. Leahey.

I was seeing Dr. Leahey's office for my heart condition for 7 years. Five of those years, I was actually seeing a physician's assistant and did not know it as they disclosed that to me. When I found out, I requested to see Leahey on my next appointment specifically and not his assistant. When I showed up for my appointment, the assistant was there only and not Leahey. Very poor communication between doctor, assistant, and staff to me, the patient.

I have been a patient of Dr Leahey's for seven years. I started seeing him after my carotid artery had plaque and I had a stroke. He has put three stents in my LAD. Lately, I cannot even see him. Even though I request him when I make my appointments, I get the PA. Even though the standard tests they run show normal, I still have chest pains, shortness of breath, dizziness, pain in jaw, neck and between shoulder blades, extreme fatigue and highs and lows in blood pressure, which also were the symptoms before I had a stroke and before stents were put in. I obviously have some sort of problem but no one cares to look into it. By the way, one of the tests run lately showed Abnormal study with suspicion of micro vascular disease. I guess they missed that one. Time for a change in Doctor and get a new pair of eyes.

Dr. Leahey may very well be a good doctor, but he always uses physician assistants to see me. I didn't know they weren't real doctors until I asked. I then specifically asked for Leahey when making the appointment. When I showed up for the appointment, I was seen by his assistant. I insisted on seeing Dr. Leahey as I am paying to see a cardiologist and not an assistant. Leahey did see me after I threatened to change cardiologists. I don't have anything against physician assistants, but I was seeing one for 4 years without being told what they were. Also, when I had trouble with my medication, I could not get anyone to return my calls and numerous messages.

I worked for Dr. Leahey but I am now a patient. He is wonderful! He takes the time to find out what is wrong with you and takes precautionary measures to insure that his patients are getting the correct treatment. He is very honest and does not sugar coat things which I appreciate! The wait is sometimes a little long but is DEFINITELY worth it!

Dr. Leahey is a saint! He took the extra time to seek and figure out what my problem is, which is called Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a rare heart problem. He is patient, kind and sympathetic with his clients. He is extremely knowledgeable and I am very confident in his abilities. I very much recommend him!
