Dr. Edward Wolfgang Lee, MD

Dr. Lee is an absolutely amazing doctor, and I say this as a parent. I believe that without Dr. Lee's brilliance, my child would not have a spleen because he would have had to have it removed. Thanks to Dr. Lee and the team of interventional radiologists at UCLA Westwood, my son was the youngest and smallest patient to walk away from a minimally invasive procedure that left him with all his organs and completely solved his life-threatening bleeds, while not even having as much as a scar. All the while, Dr. Lee explained all of what would happen calmly, compassionately and in great detail to my husband and me. When I think of "modern day miracles" I truly think of the brilliant Dr. Lee and team who saved my toddler's health. You can truly trust this doctor with your life.

My wife was suffering from a lymphatic fluid leak in her chest for over 2 years since her heart surgery. No one knew what to do, and basically, her heart surgeon told her she has to live with a drain for the rest of her life!!! It was the worst thing that we've heard from anyone. It was even more devastating than her heart problem. However, this all ended when we met Dr. Lee!!!!! We saw him in his clinic and was told that we may have some treatment options. Within a week, he performed a lymphangiogram and embolization of the lymphatic leak. Shortly after the procedure, Dr. Lee came to our room and brought her some photos of her procedure to explain what happened during the procedure. Two days after Dr. Lee's procedure, the lymphatic leak stopped! It was like a miracle!! My wife recovered very well, and for the past six months, she has not had any leak! She is cured! Dr. Lee is an excellent doctor! More importantly, he is such a kind and warm person!!! We are so grateful that we… found him online! We love you, Dr. Lee!!!

Dr. Lee is always available, he goes out of his way to help and he always shows his compassion and care. I think what is really great about Dr. Lee is that he truly personalizes his care. He even gave me and my wife his cell phone number to contact him if we have any questions or we are ever in any medical situations that need his help. Also, he always answers emails and phone calls. I feel very comfortable around Dr. Lee. In fact, his whole staff is fabulous! His schedulers, Jackie and Ivette, have the most professional demeanor. His nurses and technologists at UCLA were the most professional and kind people I've met!

Dr. Lee is one of the best doctors I've met in UCLA. He was very knowledgeable and he made my dad and our family feel very comfortable during the difficult time we were going through. He was able to save my dad's life from severe stomach bleeding using a new technique that only UCLA can offer. After my dad was discharged from UCLA, he called to check on him and he even personally answered my emails and phone calls about my concerns and questions on my dad treatment and recovery. I had a nephrostomy at Santa Monica/UCLA Medical Center which turned out to be more complicated than any of my doctors had anticipated. Dr. Lee was so competent and caring. He called my nurse while I was recovering, and when she said that she was concerned, he rushed right over! He told me that he wouldn't have been able to sleep without checking up on me. I feel very lucky to have had him as a doctor!
