Dr. Edward Lipman, MD

Dr. Lipman did "ablation" surgery for my friend.....ex.... and he did an amazing job. Dr. Lipman is extremely intelligent, he can talk about the heart and surgery and every other thing involved with the heart with such ease and like we talk about our every day things. He is truly amazing and very cordial. Don't pay any attention to the lower ratings those are the people who base an opinion on things other than heart surgery. I recommend Dr. Lipman everywhere I go.

Dr Lipman appears to be very knowledgeable regarding Afib. I appeared to me that he was not ready for my appointment and, may have not checked the files regarding my situation and history. I was asked(referred) by another Dr out of this office and went to the appointment. Dr Lipman asked that I have a Cardiogram even though I had just come out of the hospital a week earlier and he had a copy of that cardiogram. I was already not liking the visit due to the fact that Dr was over a hour late for the appointment which I certainly did not expect and no one once mentioned the fact that he would be late. There was only one other patient there when I arrived and he was sleeping in his chair waiting. I am sure Dr Lipman is a fine Dr and very good at what he does. I left the office feeling like my Afib was a death sentence that had options but not a bright outcome. I guess I was hoping for some type of encouragement. Dr Lipman ordered a few test, changed my Cardezem dose which I… believed to cause dizzyness the next morning and I have since gone back to the prescribed dose that Dr Shah changed while I was in the hospital. I plan to cancel any test at this point unless Dr Shah orders them. One involved getting a Holter monitor for 48 hours. Again, I was just in the hospital 5 days with a 24 hour a day monitor attached which should have all data needed to answer any questions. I just want one Dr that I can go to and one Dr that will handle my Afib and that Dr is G Shah. These are my thoughts and my experience and maybe just was one of those strange visits but I would be happy to just stick with one Dr at this point.

He double checked what the nurse was suppose to do which was making sure my ICD leads were not on a recall list before I went under to have the battery replaced. It turns out one of the leads was on a recall list and he was able to replace it while replacing the battery. It saved me from having to go under the knife a second time.

Very friendly - takes the time to talk to you and the family. Listens attentively and answers any and all questions. Very patient with endless questions.
