Dr. Edward S. McCallum was born and raised in Elloree, SC. He is an Eagle Scout and still proudly carries his wallet card everyday. He attended Newberry College on a baseball scholarship, and after two years moved to Baltimore to attend the U. of Maryland Dental School. He was a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Society and the Gorgas Honorary Dental Society. After dental school he was an Air Force dentist stationed in Japan for three years. He finished his Orthodontic training at Columbia University, and moved to Greenwood in 1966 to become Greenwood’s first full time Orthodontic specialist. He and his wife Lea have raised three successful sons. An attorney, an Orthodontist, and an international businessman.
