Dr. Edward Alfonso Mena JR., MD

My review is based on his office staff - primarily the woman that makes appointments. She is rude and nasty - Belongs anywhere but dealing with patients with actual health issues.

If you can get through his staff,,, maybe you will see him for five minutes or so and he will prescribe some medicine and you will wait six months for the results. Too many patients and no individual concern. You're welcome to be the next science experiment.

At age 60 I was diagnosed with Hep C. There. is no doubt in my mind that I have never felt sicker in my entire life, and I honestly thought I would never again get out of bed and would soon die. I was referred to Dr. Mena and everything changed. I had hope and I had a brilliant Physician who built up not only my health but also my spirits. He helped me fight....and we WON! I would send people to Dr. Mena without hesitation. I have had some amazing years thanks to him.

Dr. Mena was the 13th doctor that I saw, and the 1st who told me that he could help me get well, and he did.

I discovered an arrogant attitude that could really care lees about you as an individual, but rather sees you a a "piece of flesh" that should respond to the drug regime in the prescribed fashion as published by whichever pharma company with which he's working. Dr Mena did not listen to me and my "real" complaints even though they were reiterated a number of times. I honestly wonder if he's capable of analytical thought as opposed to just following drug company instruction. DO yourself a favor before you get into trouble; go elsewhere.
