Dr. Edward Cruz Paredez, MD

I didn’t see Dr. Paredez. I was pre screened by Angela Hoefke NP on June 21. I have not heard anything since.

Thorough and complete procedure. Explained everything in full detail. Staff were also excellent.

The staff are incredibly immature and play games with patient records and appointments. Do not use this provider, he’s not worth the added stress while dealing with a medical issue.

Dr. Paredez was very helpful. Didn't rehash basic information I already knew, but discussed future health options and treatment plans that may be pursued.

Dr. Paredez is extremely thorough, friendly, competent and listens. Also, on a previous visit he was able to get an accurate diagnosis for me that went previously undetected at Kaiser. I would highly recommend him.

I was really looking forward to meeting Dr. Paredez as he has such wonderful reviews. His demeanor toward me was overall disinterested. I emphasized that I had very sudden onset GI symptoms, but he absolutely insisted that they were likely caused by my blood pressure medication, which I started taking significantly AFTER the onset of my GI symptoms. He refused to run any tests, even though I informed him that my GP pushed for comprehensive testing. His tone was very dismissive and cold. As a high school guidance counselor, I'm no stranger to speaking to people who are unattractive and dismissive, but I did not expect that demeanor from a doctor. He also gave me samples of Amitiza, a medication used to treat IBS and chronic constipation. I was uncomfortable with taking another medication to mask the symptoms without determining a cause. I did not go back to Dr. Paredez, and instead made an appointment with Dr. Caroline Diamont, who I HIGHLY recommend. She was kind, empathetic, and took… my symptoms seriously. She ordered a hydrogen breath test and very quickly found the cause of all my GI problems: a small intestinal bacterial overgrowth which can be completely cured with antibiotics!

I was REALLY impressed that Dr Paredez himself greeted me with a smile in the waiting room. We then walked together to his office. He is very pleasant, and competent.
