Edward P. Rentschler, D.D.S. was born and raised in Elgin, Illinois. He attended The University of Illinois College of Dentistry in Chicago, Illinois, receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree with Honors and was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society in 1983. Dr. Rentschler completed his Residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The University of Louisville and Affiliated Hospitals in 1986.
Dr. Rentschler has been in practice in Rockford, Illinois since 1986, starting in Camelot Tower, and relocating to his current state of the art facility on Roxbury Road in 1996. Dr. Rentschler provides a broad range of oral and maxillofacial surgical services with emphasis on dento-alveolar surgery, wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, corrective jaw surgery, bone grafts, general anesthesia, intravenous sedation, facial trauma, and pathology. He has a special interest in implants and implant related procedures as well as oral pathology. …He maintains certification in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
He attends lectures, seminars, and continuing education throughout the year to stay current with new science and technology. He has also lectured to local and state societies on various oral surgery topics. His other interests include; snow skiing, photography, racquetball, travel, attending sporting events, music, playing drums, and spending time with his wife Tammy, and three daughters.
