Dr. Rico takes time to explain everything about my disease and the science behind the medication combinations. He manages my care for hypothyroidism and osteoporosis. He is easy to talk to and he and his staff respond promptly to any questions I may have in person, on the phone or on the patient portal.

Excellent Dr. Have been a diabetic for more than 4 decades. He is the best endocrinologist I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to Dr.s at Hopkins. He actually listens to my questions and is genuinely concerned. Takes time when discussing my situation and explains things exceptionally well. Very very knowledgeable but never intimidating. Best Dr. I’ve ever had.

Dr. Rico and his staff are compassionate and empathetic. I wonder if a day comes when I’ll have to find a new provider (shall he relocate or retire) if I’ll ever find another Endocrinologist as wonderful as him. He is truly a gem tucked away in a small community hospital system which allows for more patients to feel more connected to their physician. Thank you for your amazing work Dr. Rico, Karen Smith, Leighsa Cornwell , and the Horizon Health team.
