Dr. Edward Leonard Salerno, MD

I just recently had a follow up office visit with Doctor Salerno. The visit was good, things had improved and were on track. Dr. Salerno is a very pleasant doctor and always greets you with a beautiful smile.. I am always pleased with service I receive. If there is a need for another issue to be addressed he will discuss it with you and make a referral. I am very pleased with him and would recommend him to others.

I am impelled to write a positive review for the Starling Medical Group. They have multiple office locations in the Greater Hartford, Connecticut area, but my experience took place in Wethersfield. Overall, I was met with professionalism and care. The "Operation": I did not realize the size of the Starling Group and I was immediately impressed with how efficient, professional, and prompt they are. I was directed to a bank of dutiful receptionists who quickly instructed me on their procedures. They were kind, brisk, but attentive to questions. Recommendation: arrive at least 15 minutes early to process paperwork. They move quickly, but they responded to my questions politely. My appointment was at 9:45 and I was taken exactly at that time (I arrived at 9:30 and I was brought to an office at my scheduled time). Staff: The medical assistant, Mary, definitively moved about the room with alacrity. She had a pleasant demeanor and exhibited good customer service and bed side manner. She… did what she had to do, but engaged me. She also did not miss any details in reviewing my paperwork - she picked up on a note I made in an obscure area. In addition, the doctor asked for another assistant to retrieve a phone number and it was done in minutes - no one waited. Dr. Edward Salerno: The doctor arrived about 5 minutes after the assistant left; he was prompt and apparently, the staff mentioned, that this is consistent (barring any unforeseen circumstances). Young doctors take note: Dr. Salerno put on a bed side manner clinic! He was kind, probing, realistic, but gentle in his delivery. Based on the volume of patients coming in to the reception area, Dr. Salerno was always present with me and moved decisively to ascertain additional information. I got the sense he was going above and beyond. In all, I think Dr. Salerno is a sharp (he pinned scenarios before I could even tell him) and compassionate professional. I highly recommend his services and the Starling Group.

The administrative staff was rude and impatient.
