Dr. Edward Reed Sargent, MD

Dr. Edward R Sargent, SAPDM San Antonio won't return phone calls when he is the doctor on call. His answering service called me back and advised me to go to the emergency room when all he needed to do is call me back. Why is this "doctor" being assigned the job of the doctor on-call, when he won't do his job. Unacceptable!!!

While I love Dr Sargent, his lab located in the drs office is terrible. I’ve had my labs drawn there numerous times and it’s always the same treatment from the lab staff. They are rude, don’t introduce themselves or inform you of what tests they are doing. Worst of all, they don’t verify blood samples drawn with your name so you just hope and pray that you get the correct results. They hardly make any eye contact and forget getting a friendly smile. They just place a cup in your hand as you are finishing up without any conversation or explanation. It was for a urine specimen but nothing was explained about using a cleaning wipe or not. Rude, rude, rude. Am definitely considering switching doctors due to this lab.

I have been a patient of Dr Sargent for about 10 years and have received nothing but the best of care for well visits and for illnesses. He interprets lab results taken a week prior with you and plans accordingly for health maintenance.

He is very much alive. Not sure where the alert came from.
