Dr. Edward Stanley Sawicki, MD

Nurse Judith was everything an Excellent Nurse should be. She listened carefully, was kind, patient, and compassionate, motherly too....I really liked that. The wating room plus examination rooms were very clean. My wait time was very short, although, Understandable, that will not always be the case. I thought Dr. Sawicki was Excellent and would like him to be my PCP if he is in private practice, and would accept me? Dr. Sawicki gave me his full time and attention. I never felt hurried, or short changed. He is an adept listener and took painstaking notes. I found him to be thorough, knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, and patient. He actually found out what was wrong with me by studying my various complaints and rereading his copious notes. I had seen 4 other doctors and none of them figured it out. He is VERY Good! You need to give him a chance. Be patient with him too while he ponders your complaints and symptoms and comes up with a possible reason for your… particular illness. In my particular case. I was suffering with chronic headaches, sometimes migraines and vomiting too. Chronic nausea, dizziness, and stomach aces, sleep deprived also. I was actually taking way too much Tylenol/Acetaminophen PL for my sleep deprivation and headaches and didn't even realize it. Silly me! Live and learn. I was essentially O.D. ing on those meds. Dr. Wasicki was astute enough to catch it, where 4 other doctors did not. Post script: Had my first visit to Windham Hospital today for my first "cat scan". While the hallways, waiting rooms were clean. I, personally, was laid down on a filthy white bed sheet for the scan. Disgusting and shameful is all I can say. Staff was kind and knowlegeable. Somebody needs to get written up and talked to IMHO. Med East Willimantic needs a makeover also. The staffing needs to be increased so that the phones are ALWAYS covered, as in answered, as they are not being now. When they give you their word that they are going to do something, like call you with your test results, then darn it, they best learn to be professional people and keep their word. I was left hanging, they never did get back to me. In the mean time they had misdianosed me and left me taking a very strong antibiotic that i did not need. I am aorry but that is sheer neglect and something ought to me done about it. Been there a few times....dirty looking, place needs a "make over". Staff is too hurried, cutting their patient time short. IMHO they needs some extra attention there to bring their clinic and staff up to par. Bev

I went to Med East on a Saturday morning knowing I would probably wait. I waited an hour and 10 minutes which was wonderful considering the office was full. Dr. Sawicki was kind, thorough, and genuinely concerned. He explained my symptoms and how why the medication was best for the diagnosis. I left feeling very relieved and thankful for the staff in the willimantic Med East

We arrived at Medeast walk-in at 6:41pm. DR Sawicki and his staff were locking door to leave. I jumped out of vehicle to ask if they would stitch up my husbands leg. Office hours are until 7:00pm. DR Sawicki said they did not do stitches at Medeast. He turned us down for treatment, because he had " going home" in his eyes.

Dr. Sawicki had absolutely no bedside manner. He was curt, lacked empathy or explanation. Worse, he made me feel as though my frightening physical exam revelation was my fault....as if I was the problem, not my potential medical condition. I left confused, sad and angry that a medical "professional" could treat a patient in that manner. Sadly, he is the owner and founder of Med East Walk In Clinic and will suffer no consequences for his actions. Under no circumstances would I refer even my worst enemy to this person. I can only hope that some day, he reflects on himself and comes to realization that he could have and should have behaved differently.
