Dr. Edward Alexander Silver

Extremely unprofessional, lacks basic medical knowledge and very defensive about his limitations

Dr Silver is rude. He needs to retire. My Dad wasn’t treated with respect....because he was old.

This guy is a joke of a doctor. Healthcare system in Hawaii is already poor. This guy is part of the problem. He doesn’t do anything for you . He doesn’t answer your questions. He is cold rude condescending. And he is a fake

Dr. Silver has been my PCP (Primary Care Physician) for the past 7 years. He is very easy to talk with, speaks to you like an equal, not like he's some kind of superior being, and listens to what you have to say without rushing you to finish. He is very knowledgeable, and has helped me with many issues and provided recommendations to very good specialists when necessary. He uses the latest technology to efficiently send prescriptions to pharmacies and to view all your latest tests from all your doctors and tests that are in the Queens computer system. I'm 74 years old and have had many PCP's, and none better than Dr. Silver. I couldn't provide a better recommendation than to go see Dr. Silver.

Been going to Dr. Silver for about four years or so. He insists on blood tests annually but failed to recognize I had a problem. Guess he didn't test results of blood work afterwards. Another doctor discovered the problem. I no longer trust Dr. Silver and have found a new doctor. I'm sure he's okay for other patients but not for me.

Brought my elderly mother (85 yrs) in for an appointment. Dr. Silver was short with her and rude. He failed to listen to her needs (pain from a fractured back) and dismissed her quickly. This man has a poor bedside manner. Plus he still has not completed the form given to him so my mother can move into a residential care home.

I've seen Dr. Silver for five years and have no complaints. He is very professional and courteous. You feel at ease in discussing your health with him. His staff is also very professional.

This doctor has a policy of not calling patients. You can only communicate by going in. Front desk denied me an appointment when I had Bronchitis. Said, "How about tomorrow" and I was really ill. Told her so and she denied me an appointment anyway. Doctor overlooked obvious symptoms that should have been red flag. As a result I ended up really ill and am in recovery. Shouldn't have happened. I lost trust quickly even though he is personable. Would not recommend to anyone.

I'm 55, and as my new Doctor, Dr, Silver wasted no time in in getting me updated with tests a guy my age should have received. He patiently listens to my concerns and does not hurry me along like cattle. He educates me on bettering my health and I feel much better when I leave his office.

Dr. Silver is a very caring doctor. He does have compassion and professionalism. He really does care about his patients welfare.
