Dr. Edward Watson was born and raised in Inglewood, California. He attended Morningside High School and the University of Redlands graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics. Dr. Watson attended the University of Southern California School of Dentistry and graduated in 1972 receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He graduated with honors receiving the Morris J. Thompson award for excellence in removable prosthodontics. He was elected to Alpha Tau Epsilon and Omicron Kappa Upsilon, both honorary dental organizations upon graduation.
After graduation from dental school Dr. Watson moved to Newport Beach and has been in private practice there ever since. He earned a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 1984 and went on to earn a Mastership in the same Academy in 1997. He was named Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy in 1992 and Fellow of the International College of Dentists in 1995. Dr. Watson is an active member of the Laguna …Gnathological Research and Study Group, Newport Harbor Academy of Dentistry, Academy of Osseointegration, Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Orange County Dental Society, and American Dental Association.
Dr. Watson lives in Newport Beach with his wife, Mikelle, and has two grown children. He enjoys surfing, sailing and traveling to exotic places.
