Dr. Edward L Witek, DDS

Dr. Witek attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine where he earned his D.M.D. degree. Prior to attending the University of Pittsburgh, he attended Washington and Jefferson College where he obtained a B.A. degree in chemistry.
He has been providing excellent dental care in Uniontown for the past 32 years.
On a local level, Dr. Witek is a past-president of the Fayette County Dental Society as well as serving as its Treasurer, Secretary and Program Chairman. He was a co-founder of the Fayette County Orthodontic Study Club and he has also lectured locally to professional and civic groups on the topic of general dentistry.
On a state level he is a past-president of the Pennsylvania Academy of General Dentistry. He also served the PAGD as it's membership chair and parliamentarian. Dr. Witek has been the featured speaker for the PAGD's Winter Caribbean Seminar Series. He has lectured at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine's Henry J. Bianco …Lectureship Series and also has been a guest lecturer at the West Virginia School of Dental Medicine instructing fourth year dental students on advanced restorative and reconstructive techniques.
On a national level, Dr. Witek has served on the Examination Council of the Academy of General Dentistry in Chicago. He also served as chairman of the Self-Assessment Committee where he prepared quizzes for publication in the Journal of the Academy of General Dentistry to test dentists' knowledge and keep them current on topics in dentistry.
Dr. Witek has attained the title of Master of the Academy of General Dentistry. Achieving Mastership (MAGD) is a professional designation within the AGD that reflects a general dentist's ongoing commitment to provide quality care through continuing education. Dentists achieving Mastership status must have previously attained Fellowship standing and have a total of 1,100 hours of approved continuing education credits, six hundred of which must be in specific disciplines of dentistry.  Of the 142,000 dentists in America, only 2,200 have attained Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry.
On a personal level, Dr. Witek has been married for 35 years and has three adult children. The eldest is an orthodontist in Beverly Hills, CA. The second is a physician specializing in radiation oncology in Philadelphia, PA and the youngest is an agent with State Farm Insurance in Wilmington, NC.
