Dr. Edwin Risenhoover

Dr. Risenhoover worked with our family for many years. We found Edwin to be friendly, asked great questions, listened well, and offered excellent care--we felt he cared about us! Although no longer in Loveland, we often wish for the same type of friendliness, trust, and competency from other doctors that we received from Dr. Risenhoover. Joel & Julie.

I have a sinus infection, and my primary care doctor wanted me to visit the local Covid-19 office in case my symptoms were connected to the virus. Dr. Risenhoover was the attending doctor at the time, and I don't think that I've ever had a better health visit in my life. Despite the long hours and stress that I'm sure he and his team are under, and the risk that our front line medical professionals face in trying to help the community through this outbreak - Dr. Risenhoover showed an exceptional level of knowledge, experience, and compassion in the face of danger. There was also a moment at the end of our visit where he took a partial seat against the table behind him and wanted to help answer any of my concerns about what is going on right now. It was such a human moment in this crazy storm, and what was supposed to be just a quick visit to check on my symptoms has me tempted to change doctors. He seems to care a great deal about his patients' health and the quality of his work.

I am going to change Doctors due to my experience here. I was less than 5 minutes late due to a traffic accident that happened right in front of me (I was not involved). After rushing to get there they declined see me for my scheduled appt. The woman at the window chided me like a child and informed me that the doctor was too busy. I am glad the doctor is busy but so am I. I drove 45 minutes to get there and had to drive another 45 minutes to get back on a very busy day. I am flabbergasted and do NOT recommend them.

Personable and calm - not an alarmist.

I'm 70 years old. I've been going to Dr. Reisenhoover for 14 years. He's the best overall general practitioner I've ever seen. He tends to be conservative in his diagnoses and treatment, which I appreciate. Reaching for the prescription pad is not the first thing he does. He listens to me, and I feel that we reach a mutual agreement on treatment. He always takes as much time as needed to answer any questions I have. Great doctor!
