Dr. Edwin Abogado Empaynado, MD

Went there for a serious bleed. He spent the visit yelling at me for not going to the hospital. (Isn't it better to see a specialist if you can?) It was my GP who sent me to him. Empaynado said 'I don't know anything about you,' so I offered to give him online access to recent lab results, but he asked, 'Why would I do that?' He claimed he couldn't do anything for me. I asked for an exam, which he did. It lasted for not quite two minutes! I asked him to do diagnostics for suspected e coli, but he refused. On my own, I later discovered there had been an e coli outbreak for people handling contaminated walnut shells. (I had been eating walnuts daily.) He did order some blood tests and said I should return in a week, and I thought perhaps he was just having a bad day, so I did as he asked, but when I went back, he made me wait 45 minutes while he had a casual conversation in the hall. Then he charged a FORTUNE for all this lovely treatment.

Dr. did not listen to my symptoms and did not diagnose properly. I ended up at Penn Hospital with a perforated colon.

I am 35 and have a history of cancer in my family. Dr. Empaynado was very patient and explained things in a way that most doctors I’ve been to do not. I felt like he cared about my health as if he were a close relative. Although “invasive”, he was thorough and kept me calm the entire time. I would recommend him to 1000x to anyone concerned about their colon/rectal health. Thank you! ????
